In order to get kill points, do you have to kill a unit AND it's dedicated transport, or do they count as seperate kill points? The 40k rulebook doesn't say which.

My Armies
T9A Dwarves - 5-6K
T9A Ogres - 5-6K
T9A WoDG - 4K
A lot of Orks (WAAAGH! Ripjaw)
A lot of khorne marines and daemons (The Prophets of The Red River)
around 2500 points of Grey Knights (The 3rd Brotherhood "The Heralds of the Emperor Resplendent")

They're separate units, so they're separate kill points.

It does, just not explicitly. Page 91 "At the end of the game, each player receives 1 ‘kill point’ for each enemy unit that has been completely destroyed."

Got that? Now read page 92 under the heading "MULTIPLE UNIT CHOICES"

OP, you need to read P3 again. The definition of a "unit" is crucial to understanding many other rules.

The only way in which transports are dedicated in 5th edition is that you cannot buy them as stand-alone vehicles.

A dedicated transport is a separate unit to the unit with which it is bought.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Units grant kill points, not selections.
