Here's the list I wanna give a shot. It's not SUPER powerful, but it has a lot of the new "toys" I wanna mess with.

Baron Sathonyx

3x Haemonculus: All with Hex Rifles

4x Incubi
Venom: Splinter Cannon

4x Trueborn: 4x Blasters
Venom: Splinter Cannon

15x Hellions: Helliarch w/Stunclaw

15x Hellions: Helliarch w/PGL, Stunclaw

15x Hellions: Helliarch w/PGL, Agonizer

6x Reavers: 2 Cluster Caltrops

5x Scourges: 2 Haywire Blasters

Ravager: Night Shields, Flicker Field, Retrofire Jets

Ravager: Night Shields, Flicker Field, Retrofire Jets

that takes me to 1999pts.

Drop the stun claws, your gonna need killing power at this point level and claws won't give that to you. I'd also find points for a unit of 5 Wracks, mounted or not for home objective holding. I'm a huge fan of Hellions but I think this list would struggle against a lot out there.

I don't see where the Haemonculi go?

I also don't see what you are expecting 4 Incubi to do? THe answer is not a lot.

I'm not convinced on the Scourges or the lack of AT in the list. Plus if you're going for Helions I'd probably take them in larger squads, too brittle to be used in such small squads for me.

Haemonculi start the game attached to the Hellion squads, leaving them with a pain token on 1st turn, giving them FnP for more survivabily. From then they'll just take pot shots with thier Hex Rifles, hopefully in some form of cover. The Incubi are simply CC back up, with the exception of the Talos, I don't think anything in the DE army should be charging units alone, so my Incubi(the small unit that they are)will provide a little more power, supporting my Hellions.

Between the Ravager's DLs, Trueborn Blasters, and Scourge's Haywire Blasters I have a nice amount of moblie AT. This way, my armor killers aren't just sitting there waiting to be taken out.

You said that you aren't trying to be super competitive, so I have a feeling you will continue to resist this POV, but the 4 incubi are seriously not going to perform nearly as well as you seem to think and really just die to a better CC squad or not do anything useful. Probably the same with the scourges, who I like but are going to be tough to use with this list imo. I would drop both those squads to have another trueborn blaster squad and possibly another Ravager. This should boost your tank killing substantially. That would be my advice/recommendation, as Hellions (though cool) lack killing power imo, so will need heavily armed support from the other units.

You think 10 DL is enough AT at 2k? I'd say 20 is an absolute minimum and you should be going for about 30.

How in the world are you going to get 30 DL in 2k and still be competitive?

Filling all of your troops and elites and heavy support with minimum sized squads and transports you can get 30 DL.

So with all of you troops/heavy support/elites slots filled - you have less than 200 pts to pick an HQ and then maybe a fast attack choice.

If you're factoring in blasters as DL then that of course changes the build. Dark Eldar DL spam is dead - long live the blaster and Haywire grenades!

I have nothing to add to your list, but I did want to point this out to you to so that you could double check. You can't actually do what you want with the haemie's, yes you can attach them to the unit but, not having the codex on hand, you can not give the hellions the token without the haemies staying with them as per the Sharing the pain rule. Not absolute 100% positive on that but I did remember reading this when I was reading the codex this weekend, but better to be safe than sorry and just re read it again.

I believe the Share The Pain rule will allow the Haemonculi to leave the 1 pain token with the squad, as you have to divide them evenly, but since it is only 1 token, you simply choose which unit gets it (if it was 2 token, both units would have to have one, you couldn't leave one with both tokens).

Magister is correct. An IC can leave his ONE token with a unit, if he detaches. As you get to choose he keeps it. if there are 2 or more, you must divide them as evenly as possible. So both would get one, then you decide who gets the remaining one.

I've seen lists with 40 Dark light weapon. By DL I didn't mean just dark lances I was also including blasters, hence why the number in his army was 10 rather than 6.

It is easy to get to 20+ DLs in an army without even trying. The list I wrote with no Dark lances taken in the squads (though it did have 2x4 man blaster squads) still had 27 Dark light weapons.
