I have a fairly large Ogre army and are unimpressed with them in lower point games. I do have a new goblin army and the fanatics are great, but the wa rmachines misfire or have too low of a BS, low leadership and animosity make them an unreliable force. I am still new to the game and am considering getting into WoC to learn the game. I hear chaos warriors are just awesome and so are knights and their magic is good so I think I may check em out, but that of course means spending like $200 on a battalion and/or some boxes a hero or sorcerer an army book and I could probably make a trade for one of my other armies or work on getting one and was wondering if WoC is a good choice to go with.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Yes they are a good force, but they are very much a 'get across the table and hit stuff' army. Your best bet is to look in the army list sections on Dakka to get a feel for how people are setting up their forces
