Name: "Halon" nickname due to massive chemistry interest. Age: 21 Appearance: 6' 0", 207lbs, High and tight hair cut, has muscle mass, but doesn't look like hulk hogan or anything like that. Abilities: Marksmanship training, basic EMT training, some further medical training. Equipment: M9 Pistol, Barrett .50cal, M-4 Carbine, M-249 SAW, and a whole lot of other stuff. Background: Over a year ago, Halon was a member of the airforce security forces, but that all changed when the zombie outbreak began. After the dispersal of the group including a maniacal clown, a biker, a hippie, and a spec ops soldier Halon left with a small group of bikers and founded "Second Chance Suites" in an abandoned hotel. After securing generators and other necessary items the hotel became a base of operations and allowed Halon and his crew to secure weapons and even gold from surrounding banks, military armories, etc. After killing Mr. Phoenix, Halon became paranoid of anything with a slight russian accent, but his collection of weapons, currency, and survivors allowed him to interact with russian relief forces to broker a deal with the russian commander in the area allowing him to continue operating his little oasis in the undead desert. *WOOT! Halon's old enough to drink legally now!*

Don't know, its a double edged sword here. If he GM's and has a character he has a vested interest to keep it going along although the number of events may be lower. If he just GM's he may have more events, but due to lack of personal affect he may not feel like writing them so often.
Its all iffy, but if there's a lot of players in this one then I would say no GM character as we can assume this following GM character.
Name: Earth
Age: ~4.5 billion years
Appearance: 197 million square miles large with about 70% of her face covered with water, the other percent solid features.
Abilities: Can spin and orbit pretty well.
Background: Earth's birth was volcanic and harsh, she could hardly support any form of life for most of her youth. Although she later managed to support life most of her life has been dedicated to supporting her many children and she is growing tired of it. She plans to retire December 21, 2012.

Bonzo took some bikers and created a clown biker gang a la sweet tooth from twisted metal, Tombstone and Daisy rode off into the sunset and lived happily ever after, Halon found a place to stay with a couple of bikers/chicks, Shadow went off to do his thing, Phoenix was killed by Halon(wasn't his fault), Jennifer got mad and escaped with some of Phoenix's men. Keira found a new love in the form of a biker and also rode off into the sunset.
We know what Halon did after that as its in my background, no word from Shadow, Tombstone, Daisy, Keira, Bonzo, or your Jennifer yet.
Also, Russia is really cold and it freezes the zombie who have no idea that they are being frozen. They can be thawed out though, just saying.

I'm going to guess that the Russians don't stand a chance after all Shadow will have a daily quota of dead russians, however he will forget that he already filled that quota hours ago and start again before going to sleep and starting another day.

So, eastern seaboard it is then. Mountains to the west and sea to the east. The russians will probably harbor around Norfolk, Virginia as its a huge navy base or around Groton, Connecticut which has a major sub base. Also, are parts of the american armed forces still around and does a broken/but existant US government still exist?
This is the eastern seaboard, because we have mountains just about anything on that coast except for Florida is possible.

Actually I was just saying that we are on the eastern seaboard seeing as though we have mountains to the west and sea to the east.
The most likely place for the russians to put their ships is a port. The top two that come to mind are in Norfolk or Groton, also because they most likely have fueling stations nearby as well, I know Norfolk does.
So we may not necessarily be in Norfolk, but the russians most likely are. For a comparison of time, the mountains are about 4 hours drive from Norfolk with many cities in between. It also depends on what kind of weather you want for the RP. Connecticut is in a region of the US called "New England", in fact Groton is located in a county known as "New London" and its called that for a reason, the weather sucks. Virginia experiences all four seasons and the western part manages to get snow while the east gets snow every blue moon.
For the sake of the RP I would say around the middle of Virginia if you want us to experience heavy russian presence, but march it a little bit north or south if you want less of a presence.
Virginia does have a lot of military bases;
Naval Air Station Oceana, Naval Base Norfolk, Langley Air Base, Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Military Sealift Command, etc. We also have C.I.A headquarters and F.B.I headquarters along with part of Washingon D.C and the Pentagon. So yeah, the russians will be there.

See the "VIR" in Virginia? To the east of that is where you would be. The border with Virginia and West Virginia has a lot of mountains and Virginia itself has three types of terrain; Mountains, hills, flat.
Its on a cake, but it'll do.
Piedmont is hilly, coastal plain is flat, Blueridge Mountains are mountains, valley is hilly, Appalachian Plateu is another mountain range.

"You guys see anything exciting tonight?" Halon said to two new survivors, Mark and Johnathon he believed. "Nothing new." Mark said turning to Halon. "Same here boss." Johnathon said to Halon while continuing his aim. The lights of the hotel were turned off for this night, they attracted too many zeds and too many russians for the moment. He would have to embrace the russian military sooner or later and hopefully keep his little tower. "The fences still looking fine?" Halon asked while lookign out into the night. "You mean the walls?" Johnathon asked smiling to himself. "They're doing fantastic, remember when there was just a fence up around this place?" "Best improvement we added so far." Halon added "Well, you two keep on lookout. Kyle and Georgie will come relieve you in about 3 or so hours." "Night boss." Mark said while returning to his original position. Halon waved his hand in the air to respond as he turned around and went back down the stairs to the hotel. It was a great place, relatively untouched, furniture still mostly in place, a large kitchen, a large vault, plenty of rooms, a few bloodstains in them from the start of the outbreak, but the building was completely devoid of zombies. Halon reached the bottom floor and met up with Mace, one of the original bikers he had managed to escape with. "Your girl was looking for ya." Mace said laughing. "What did I do this time?" Halon replied laughing as well. "Something about leaving the seat up." Mace said before fist bumping Halon. "How are the girls?" Halon asked. "Good, one of them's a little sick though." Mace said quietly. "Which one?" Halon said as the two began walking together. "Sheila." Mace replied sadly. "Again? That has to be the third time this month." Halon said as if he was in shock. "Just take a look yourself." Mace said as he opened up a door. The garage was large and housed the 3 Abrams the group had managed to steal from a local base, well 2 were local one was from out of town, Sheila was the out of towner. "Guess we shouldn't of mistreated her when we found her." Mace said to Halon as Halon nodded in agreement. "It was worth it though, those vault doors weren't going to open by themselves you know." Halon said while patting the worn tank. "Yeah, we definitely got more than a couple mil in gold out of Knox huh?" Mace said smiling. "Yep, and with that gold we do the 3 B's, Build, Bribe, and Bargain." Halon replied happily. Mace looked at Halon questioningly. "Don't worry Mace, I won't screw you guys over like Phoenix would've."

"So, meeting time now." Halon said as he clapped his hands together.
The full amount of survivors came out to the foyer of the hotel. A total of 34 people including himself, about 16 men, 13 women, and 5 kids.
"First thngs first, happy birthday Alexandra." Halon said while pointing to a girl weain a white and pink dress along with a party hat they managed to find. "Now we get serious."
"Food is good, supplies are good, but we need gas and lots of it." Halon continued. "There's two gas stations on opposite corners of us that I would like us to have, I have in mind extending walls across the street and around the two gas stations. Then putting a gate on one side of the street so we can get in and out. In effect, more than doubling the size of the compound."
"How long will that take?" Georgia asked, she was an older woman, but was surprisingly active for her age.
"Well, we put these walls up in just under a month so maybe... a month and a half." Halon said. "Then we use the gate to get out and in, out with our trucks and hopefully in with tankers filled with gas."
"So, a Lowe's run then?" Gary asked.
"Yep, and also I want to hit a school and find some books for the kids. It'll give them something to do and being smart is important, even in a post zombie apocalypse." Halon finished.
"Okay, so the plan is this: Concrete, water, gas, and books." Mace said driving these points home to the survivors.
"That's right, now everyone's dismissed." Halon said sending the crowd away.

Halon looked at his watch, it said that it was 11:30pm. "Almost bed time." Halon thought to himself. "Hey Mace, I'm going down to the basement. Tell Ginger that I'll be up in about 30 minutes or so." Halon said while walking to the door saying 'keep out'. By law of the hotel only three people were allowed down there; Halon, Mace, and Jason the hotel's repairman. Halon entered the basement and looked at the now scrubbed clean walls, the small stash of supplies containing burlap sacks and other restraints, and then he turned his attention to the walk-in freezer. When they had first found this place, there were about two zombies and something in the freezer that wanted out. The zombies were killed and after they had restored power to the freezer they gave it a day to freeze whatever was in there. Halon could still see it through the door, it's black eyes, pale skin, elongated limbs, claw-like fingers, and its uniform from its past life. "Halon! What the hell are you doing down here?" Ginger screamed at him. "Geeze, you are angry." Halon said while looking at her calmly. "Why do you keep ignoring me and keep coming down here? Huh?" Ginger continued to march, actually storm towards Halon. Halon sighed and grabbed Ginger and whispered in her ear. "You really want to know?" "Yes, I do." Ginger said "And what's with the whispering you idiot?" "What I'm about to tell and show you is a secret." Halon continued to whisper. "Before I show you this, you have to tell me that you really trust me okay?" "Fine dear, I trust you alright." Ginger replied still flustered. Halon made his way towards the freezer's door and began to open it, the cold air rushed out as if to escape bing stuck in the cell with the freezer's secret. Ginger's mouth almost hit the floor as she aw what was inside. The creature was about six foot five and looked like it shouldn't of been able to support itself with its spindly legs. She could barely tell that the thing was female, but if she had any doubts, the nametag on the thing's chest gave it away. "Ginger," Halon began, "this is Helen. We found her like this when we opened it a day after restoring power to the building." "Why, why, why is it still here?" Ginger said stuttering. "Because, we can use it." Halon said "If it was just a plain normal zombie it would've been long gone, but no this is one of those special zombies, AND its in mint condition." "So, get rid of it." Ginger said assertively. "No, we can use it." Halon repeated "The russians my want to have a look at it and we can sell it or trade it off to them. If not, we can use it as a weapon." "A weapon? How?" Ginger said as Halon shut the freezer door and moved towards her. "Elementary my dear," Halon smiled as he grabbed Ginger's arm and began walking towards the door "we let her thaw out where our enemies are." Halon was sure that he had ruined his chances for tonight and maybe a month, but secrets were abad thing for any relationship and he would rather get it out of the way. On the way up to his room with Ginger, Halon stopped at the room containing the hotel's only working radio transmitter and receiver. It usually played a repeated message about how the hotel was safe and its general location on a loop. Halon grabbed the mic and stopped the loop for a second to see if any russians were using the same frequency the only way he knew how. "Chuck Norris does not leave messages, he leaves warnings." Halon said in the broken Russian he learned from a stolen computer and a copy of Rosetta Stone. He listened as some voices chirped in and said something along the lines of "who said that?" or "What the hell?" in fluent russian. Halon then switched the frequency and turned the radio off for the night to prevent the russians or anybody else from triangulating the origin of the Chuck Norris joke. "Do you have to do that EVERY night?" Ginger said annoyedly. "Yes I do. It keeps my morale up." Halon said returning to his room with Ginger.

"So, who's up for a Lowe's run?" Halon called out to some of the survivors gathered in the courtyard.
Everyone looked at him and some even raised their hands like school children.
"Okay, here's how it's going to go down." Halon began lecturing, "we're going to take two vehicles. First group will include Snyder, Theron, Cali, and myself in Widowmaker(another of the abrams). We'll lead point and knock anything out of the way. Michelle, Kyle, and Sherman will take one of the hummers and follow close behind. When we get there we'll use the same procedure, back the hummer up against the loading bay and clear out the store. Once we clear it out we load everything we can into the hummer and some onto the tank. Got it?"
"Yeah." the group replied
"Hey how come you always get to ride in the tank?" Kyle said to Halon as they were going towards their respective vehicles.
"Because, I really like tanks and I'm in charge." Halon said while playfully pushing Kyle away.
.............
"Wow, no zeds so far." Cali called from her driver's seat.
"I know, the russians have been doing some good work around here... speaking of which we want to avoid the russians still." Halon said while switching the CB to the one known russian channel.
"Majority of them are at some airbase around the area," Halon began after listening to the radio, "we shouldn't have issue running into them."
"If we run into them we open fire or not?" Sherman called down from the .50.
"Not unless they fire first," Halon responded while turning the CB down, " I doubt they brought anything for anti armor and their AK's will just plink off the armor. If they do fire though, we have six shells I would love to send their way."
The tank suddenly jarred to a stop.
"What's up Cali?" Halon said while holding on the edge of his chair.
"APC, I think its russian." Cali responded and Halon looked through his periscope.
"Okay, turn here and go around." Halon patted Cali's shoulder to make sure she was listening, "Be quiet about it alright?"
The tank turned and began to go down another road, the hummer followed behind it, and they tried to be as quiet as a hummer could be.
Just then, the tank stopped again and Halon immediately took his periscope out again.
"Are you fething serious?" Halon began "Two APC's sitting in the middle of the damn road, what the hell are they doing?"
"Sherman, Kyle, and Theron with me." Halon said over the CB, we're going to see what's going on real quick.
The group dismounted and moved slowly and quietly towards the APC's, they heard no russian coming from either one and only one of them was idling.
Halon looked around and with seeing that the coast was clear he moved to the non idling APC that was in front of them. He peered around the corner and saw that it was shut in the back.
"Okay," he whispered "I'm going to see if anyone's home. Stay back here and if someone is in there, we're going to get the hell outta here and try again tomorrow."
The group nodded and Halon crept towards the APC's rear hatch. Halon knocked and heard someone speak russian inside.
"Go back!" Halon shouted as he ran towards the tank.
The group got in their respective vehicles and tried to move as quickly as possible to turn around. The APC kicked into life as the hummer rounded the corner and began to turn in its direction.
"Stop or we fire!" Halon heard the russian in one of the APC's say to the hummer in its view.
Then the abrams came out from beind the building and Halon aimed its barrel right the APC.
"Stay put or die you!" Halon called out in broken russian.
Halon could swear that the russian must've made some borscht in his pants when he saw a tank come around the corner like that.
"Get back to the hotel asap." Halon called into the CB and continued to train the barrel on the stationary APC.
"Hopefully we can make it back without anyone following us." Halon thought as the APC became a little dot on the horizon.

Actually, just Tomb and Patrick(?) are stuck in time.
Hell, we could have an all out war while those two are stuck in time in fact, I think Halon's going to go on a rampage in his tank(s).
IC: Halon couldn't think of anything to do at the moment. He was still a little mad about the russian APC's sitting in the road and decided to let out his anger by listening to the russians on the radio and joining in whenever he heard one of them yelling at the other. They usually didn't catch on until he messed up with some conjugation or whatever little piece of grammar he would forget to use.
It was going fine until he heard that one of them had head from another one that they had seen an american tank.
"From who?" Russian 1 said.
"Mikhail" Russian 2 said.
"The tanker?" Russian 1 replied.
"Yes, why do you ask?" Russian 2 asked.
"He's a drunk!" Russian 1 said almost laughing.
"Yeah, he's an idiot." Halon joined in.
There was a short period of silence.
"You know..." Russian 2 began "Mikhail said that the guy in the tank yelled at him in russian, something like 'stay still'.".
"How many americans knew russian before this whole thing?" Russian 1 started.
"Probably not a lot." Russian 2 said
"And how many americans are alive now?" Russian 1 asked.
"Probably not a lot." Russian 2 replied like he was just told santa doesn't exist.
"Yes, and if Mikhail is an idiot who likes bars and not many americas speak russian..." Halon said joining in.
"Wait," russian 1 said quickly, "hey Fyodor, can't wait for dedovshchina right?" Russian 1 said.
"Not really no." Russian 2 replied.
"That's because you're gay." Russian 1 said.
"Yeah, how can you not like that?" Halon said.
There was another bit of silence.
"Fyodor, I guess Mikhail was right after all." Russian 1 said again.
With that Halon quickly turned off the radio.
.................
"So, we have possible foreign intelligence listening in on our radio transmissions?" the CO asked.
"Yes sir, if not intelligence then somebody else foreign." Russian 1 replied.
"And the reports of the american tank?" the CO continued as if he was listening to a storybook being read to him.
"Probably accurate after all." Russian 1 stated
"Okay then, leave me and you did good." the CO said while russian 1 left his small temporary office.
The CO knew he had some calls to make, enough to warrant a quick drink.

See, that's why it takes a while for the guy in charge to do his events. Simple little posts that say "busy now" would have to be spammed 1,000+ times to equal the amount of time it takes to think, write, and revise something like that.
Also, I thought we were saving that stuff for the OT thread?

I don't know Fitzz, we've had crazier happen. His name was Bonzo and he magically teleported into Halon's spot when the battle bus got rolled over. I'm not complaining, but shizzle happens.

Actually, he says SAF, which I think is swedish air force due to his rifle also being swedish. Don't know for sure though, SAF can mean a lot of things.
Special Assault Force perhaps?

True enough...I'll post an RP up later...once I decide how I want to play this out.
