Chaos Lord (MoT, Enchanted Shield, Talisman of Endurance, Biting Blade) 265 pts

Fire Sorcerer (level2, Third Eye, Spell familiar) 160 pts
Death Sorcerer(lvl1, Infernal Puppet) 120 pts

Core
24 Warriors (MoT, Shields, Full Command, Banner of Swiftness(+1M) 449 pts
24 Warriors (MoT, Shields, Full Com, Banner of Eternal Flame(Flaming attacks) 424 pts

Special
10 Chosen (MoT, Halbards, Shields, full command) 270 pts
5 Chaos Knights (MoT, Blasted Standard, full command) 310 pts

1998 pts

Will likely face either Skaven or deamons.

The Lord is pretty durable with a 2+ armor save and a 4+ ward. The Biting Blade was more of an after thought, but i could swap it for the Favor of the Gods if that is better then magical attacks that are armor piercing.

2 sorcerors. i could swap their lores if Death is a better Lvl2 lore. Infernal puppet seems like a nice tool. could save my wizards from something nasty and would make the miscast table even nastier for my opponent.

Warriors and Chosen form a nice center line of dead 'ard bodies.

the Knights would be vulnarable to shooting, but they have a 4+ ward against shooting thanks to their Standard + MoT.

what think

I think you'll be OK against demons. The TZ ward save will protect troops against assorted nastyness and the demon player will be fielding about as may (or fewer) troops.

I worry about facing Skaven - your list just does not have that much killing power. If your opponent puts 250 figures on the board, I don't know if you can kill them fast enough. Each of your units will be double or triple teamed so even when the rats run from combat, you will not be able to chase them down. My recommendation would be to split the 2 warriors up into 3 units - maybe adding frenzy & halberds to the new unit.

so you think 3 units of 16.

i would actually dig halbards, but you have to buy them seperatly (my chosen are the normal great weapon guys, but i slapped shields on their arms and their poses could look like either GWs or Halbards)

in my limiited expierience, skaven tend to stick around in CC for a while(especially with Steadfast) and once they do break they are so weak in numbers that they will keep running off the board.

the skaven player runs his slaves in units of 20 and uses a unit of 40 clan rats as the basis of the army. other possable units are 2 units of Jezzails, 1 Warp lightining cannon, a unit of 40 Plague monks, plague censor bearers, Screaming bell and a plague furnace and assorted weapon teams, possably 4 Rat ogres.

Eh, could use some work.

I would switch the lvl 2 and 1 for a lvl 4 with whatever lore you want (i like Tzneech myself). Exalted Champions are monsters in combat and really don't need the extra points spend on a fighty lord.

You need a BSB, WoC may sick around but they can still lose combat and the reroll form the BSB will keep them in place more often.

I would also drop the chosen too expensive for such a small unit, put the points into a hellcannon.

Chaos Knights imo benefit most from MoN or MoK - MoT does not help them out much. I would also give them the Banner of Eternal Flame - send them at that HPA or other regenerating monster.

DukeRustfield - There's nothing wrong with beer and pretzels. I'm pretty sure they are the most important members of the food group.
