Has anyone tried any of the 4 sample armies in the space marine codex? I mean the exact lists there (well there aren't any actual lists but you can get it from WYSIWYG). Theres the ultramarines on page 105, salamanders on page 106, White Scars on page 107, and ultramarines on the back cover. These are all 1500 point armies (if my calculations are correct).

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever tried these. I'm not seriously considering them, just asking for S***s and Giggles.

No white dwarf articles and codex lists are meant to showcase new units and get people excited about buying new models and get people thinking about different themes. The models themselves are purely to look nice and don't really mesh well together on the table top. If you win with one of those list reflects more on your opponents playing ability rather than yours.

Anyway No I have never ever seen anyone use the sample armies provided in the codex.

I've tried it with a couple sample army lists, just to see how they played.

Both the Necron and Tau Codex Sample lists seem to show off as many models as possible, without thinking of how they work together. I'd guess it would be the same way for any other Codex.

Im not trolling, just giving my opinion on what the matter is here. I have a resentment to the genetically engineered power pussies of the Space Marines.
