Not really visible in the photos, but the gun barrels are all different sizes, shapes and positions. I figured it was more orky that way. I'll spend more time on the Marines bolters to make sure everything is uniform

.
So a minor update, went to the International Living History Faire this weekend. Got a wooden bowl, met Mike Loades (OMG!) bought his new book, came home and painted some more of the Orks.
After the previous photo session, the boyz were beheaded and dismembered in order to reach into the details that would be obscured. Still very rough at the moment, but hopefully they should come together nicely in the end.
The skin is dark angels green, then a 50/50 Dark Angels and Snot Green, then pure Snot and then a 50/50 Snot and Goblin Green highlight, with a wash of Thraka Green to blend it all together. The black/grey cloth is just drybrushed Codex Grey and will be cleaned up and improved upon soon. Leatherwork is Vallejo Cavalry Brown which I am currently working on in between typing this out.
Moar updates coming soon. If I can stop reading that book...
