Well this is the first list that has done me proud agaisnt a CSM biker horde as well. I absolutely obliterated it even went to turn 7 but he resigned.
Anyway it isn't apocalypse but the Force organisation thing is doubled so you can take 6 elites 6 heavy supports and so on.

HQ:Commander Shas'o with Plasma Rifle, Missile Pod, Shield Generator, HW Multi tracker, Blacksun filter(points filler) also with 2 shield drones.
Acompanied by Elites: 3 Shas'ui battlesuits all with plasma rifles, missile pods and targeting arrays.
Troops: 2 squads of...
12 Shasla in a devilfish with targeting array, multi-tracker, Disruption pods.
2 squads of...
20 Kroot and 12 Kroot Hounds
Heavy support: 2 of... Sky ray with SMS, targeting array, multi-tracker, Disruption pods.
2 of... hamerhead gunship with Railgun, burst cannons, target lock, multi-tracker, Disruption pods
Broadsides: 2 Shas'ui 1 shas'vre all with targeting arrays and shas'vre with 2 shield drones
3 sniper drone teams
fast attack: 2 of...
3 piranhas all with fusion blaster, targeting arrays and disruption pods
Finally elites: 3 stealthsuits

This list worked really well as his bikers just could't takle everything coming at him and his noise marines were too far off to do much. Pretty much everything went at the bikers( 4 squads of 5 with champ as well as 2 lords and 2 sorcerors on bikes)(lords had daemon weapons) once they were finished well everything but a sorceror they started to pick off his other units. in the end i only lost the kroot a skyray a squad of fire warriors all sniper drone teams and the stealthsuits. He lost pretty much everything. Let me know what you think.

That looks like a pretty interesting list...

I'm shocked you did so well with such a lack of battlesuits, but also without ion-heads.

I personally think Skyrays are a waste of points. With this FoG, I would have done two ion-heads instead.

I would also not have taken piranhas, but I'm told ymmv. Same with stealthsuits.

Beyond that, it looks like an effective list. I would have probably pulled a major farsight bomb at these points though, just for lols.

I would then through in some shield drones into every unit. Then get some fire warriors, and you have one potentially awesome or horrible list.

I like the sound of that but the stealth suits were just a points filler.

To be blunt, blacksun point filters are fine, because they are so cheap...

But stealth-suits are pretty expensive points fillers. If you find yourself in that position, I would try and get upgrades for you battlesuits.

I would start with a Stim. Injector on your commander, and if you have a load more points, shield drones for your suits.

Btw, are you proxying? Not that it matters. You say you are a new Tau player, yet you played a 3k game. Your sig. also says you have 50pts. of Tau.

pretty much i has 2 fire warrior squads and a commander and 1 squad and 2 guys from the other squad aren't painted. not enough money but you should check out the crisp paint job on my k'nex proxys

as stated b4, ymmv with stealth suits...i personally like them for ork hordes, slappin markerdrones all over the team, and making the field look like a christmas tree...or comin in from behind something and poppin a melta weapon in some1z crack...lol. but seriously, id personally take multiple burst cannon stuff against hordes, and against meqs, multiple fusion blasters....and ion heads....
