Hey all, so I decided I wanted my entire nobz squad to have combi skorchas because I couldn't find a reason to take combi-rokkits. When you only get to shoot something once, you want to be pretty sure its gonna hit, especially if you spend 5 points on it. With a BS of 2, rokkits just doesn't make sense, on the other hand skorchas are s5 ap4 and they automatically hit, throw these monsters in a battlewagon and you can do a burna style drive-by, except stronger, albeit only once, but 50 extra points to take out an entire MEQ squad without disembarking? Or at least to seriously soften up dedicated CC? Yes please. Tell me if I'm wrong, please, but this just makes sense to me.

Comes out to a cool 563pts, a bit steep but I can always toss a nob or three to bring costs down. But thats ten skorchas, and each one stands out in gaming terms!

So unfortunately the new Nobz box only comes with one, count it, ONE combi skorcha. Boo. So thats EIGHT combi skorchas I gotta make from scratch! I had no extra burnas cause I need to complete my burna-wagon krew, so these were built without Burna parts! Many hours and bit-box searching and brainstorming later, I have managed to make seven of these bad-boyz and will make the eighth soon. I wanted to post them in case anyone else wanted some ideas!

Chopped up the single rokkit combi-rokkit that came with the new nobz sprues. Then grabbed the fuel tank and muzzle off the Loota/Burna sprue's Kustom Mega-Blasta

This one was fairly straight forward, took one of the old pewter nobz's twin linked shootas, cut off the bottom barrel, then took one of my many old kanz' skorchas, cut the barrel off slapped it in place and put the fuel tank bit that came with it on the bottom

This was the double rokkit combi-rokkit from the nobz sprues, black parts are chopped pieces of the trukk wrecking ball rigging's crank. The tank on the end of the clip is from the trukk stikk-bomb chukka. Random shoota clip as the butt. The skorcha barrel is one of the many axe-cheek-mounted motors that come installed on the nobz sprue's gnarly choppas, with the axe cut away of course. I don't remember where that chopped skorcha nozzle came from but it was in my bitzbox. I cut the hand that was holding it away to make the grip, a little rough I know but I think it'll look fine after some prime and paint

This one i'm particularly proud of, I wanted to build a compact combi-skorcha cause, come on, it only shoots once. And because these nobz have choppas in their other hands and its just easier to make. I switched arms cause I needed a nob arm. The shoota is obvious. I shaved some whatzitz off the round clip so I could flush up the skorcha nozzle. the skorcha nozzle is the backwards tip of the boyz sprue's big shoota. The ignition tank is the end of a stikkbomb. The ignition is a tricky edit of this boyz sprue nob choppa http://bitzbarn.com/oscommerce/catalog/images/NobPowerArm.JPG, I cut the bolt just below the wire and put it on the other side of the wire's lower coupling for the ignition nozzle's nipple

Same thing as before except I cut the shoota barrel and flipped it upside-down to accommodate the skorcha nozzle, which is the backwards tip of the largest boyz sprue shoota, and the wire is from the Loota/Burna sprue's Kustom Mega-Blasta

This one started with one of the nobz sprue's sluggas. Added boyz sprue shoota barrel, boyz sprue round clip from round clip shoota (side note, I just realized that the AoBR slugga arms come with this round-clip pre-installed! D'OH!) Another Axe-cheek installed motor from a nobz sprue choppa (again with the axe parts all cut away) as the skorcha barrel, stikkbomb tank, and Loota/Burna sprue Kustom Mega-Blasta wire coupling as ignition nozzle. This one's a little big... b-but orks are buff! Just look at that bicep!

This one is awful. I'm embarrassed. I'm going to change it and add the eighth one later

I like the use of Stikkboms for the fuel cannisters. Great idea!

That 3rd one is my favorite, but they all are really good.
