Hey Guys,

I know certain characters in the game are assigned to certain chapters but can some be put into your own chapter?!

such as

Lugft Huron of the Astral Claws & Captain Korvydae of the Raven Guard!?!

like any character, as long as they dont don Ultramarines, Blood Angels motifs all over them then i would assume its ok maybe??!!

what do you think?

As long as it's still a legal list, you can use the rules for a special character to represent your own character in another chapter. You can't put your Calgar expy in an army that uses the Codex: Space Wolves rules, but you can put him in a non-Ultramarine army that uses the Codex: Space Marines rules.

What Alex said.

The rules don't care if your Marines are Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, Pretty Marines, Poof Patrol, Angry Marines, or Uberbrofisthellabromarines.

If you're using Codex: Space Marines, you may use Codex: Space Marines units.

It's all part of the separation of fluff and rules.

When did people start using italics to stress something?

Don't listen to them, is tells you quite clearly in their entries that they may be taken in a Codex: Space Marine army.
