Hey guys i'm brand new to Dakka so hello to you all!
I just wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on my Hive Guard conversion and paintjob. I've only been back into 40k for about 6-7 months now after about a 5 year break, so my painting and modelling skills have had to pick up from where i left off when i was 16 and i'm pretty pleased with what i've made here
Anyway i'd like to get some opinions if y'all be so kind.

Very nice, I love it!
My only criticism is that the gun looks very dry and chalky. Give it a quick wash of Badab Black and it should be good to go

Welcome to Dakka!
That Hive guard is awesome, but I agree with S_P give it a wash.

Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

Thanks guys! Badab black gotchya, I wasn't 100% sure on the gun myself, I dry brushed it because I felt I got a more organic finish, maybe a wash will complete it.

Nice painting and conversion. I'm not a huge fan of the metal Hive Guard (and they're quite expensive as well), so when it comes around I'll probably buy a set of Warriors instead and copy your design.
