Heh, I was planning on doing a similar thing, "Tau on $50 a month" as a six-month series of articles. I plan to launch it in January. The original "Tale of Four Gamers" was my inspiration for this project.

Ok, some guidelines
1. You can't use pre-painted models
2.Try to keep your armies legal
And any other guidelines the involved gamers come up with, i am trying to keep it as open as possible
As for a starting date: not too sure yet, sorry, what do you guys think?
Of course i will add guidelines if anyone feels one is needed
Thanks

No worries I meant starting with the new Dark Eldar range anyway. Can give a once a month update if you like on progress with a few pics of what's been painted?

Sounds fun. Give me a PM if you get enough interested. I was going to start a thread for the army once I got started anyway but doing a group thread is fun also. Best of luck and keep at it.

It sounds like a good idea, an actual cross-cultural, structured one. If you check out the P+M Blog forum you may find a few dotted around but they usually break down after a while...
I'd advise a form of motivation and/or competition to keep it alive and the participants working. For example, score penalties and bonuses for painting models, finishing on/off time, winning games etc.
Similar to the recent one in White Dwarf. I don't really advocate the competitive side of it, but hopefully it would keep the thread alive and the participants working hard as it really does often break down. Similarly, it could provide some extra motivation for those that focus more on the game or are weaker painters as - no offense - this ain't gonna be 'Eavy Metal standard.
I hope for you sakes you also have good management skills!
Sounds like a good idea though, I hope it kicks off well. I can't take part but I'll definitely express an interest. Particularly in Lexx's new Dark Eldar.
Good Luck Man.

I was thinking about using a point system based on whether the models are painted with background in mind rather than painting skill and it won't be up to just me everyone has a say in the scores, and possibly if models are painted in time, also there may be prizes... i shall say no more more, apart from that, and that.

Sounds like a good start to things at-least. Keep the ideas and the ball rolling and you may get somewhere with this...
