So PPS Will, one of the staffers at Privateer Press threw down a challange: Paint up 100pts of Warmachine/Hordes models in the month of November. It was received so well, that a multitude of PP staffers will be partaking as well. They've also opened up the challange to us, the general population.

Personally, I always paint better when I have a deadline, be it TempleCon, GenCon, or some tournament/event that I want to attend. And Lord knows I have more than enough models in my collection that need to be painted...

So I figure: Why the hell not?

It starts Nov 1, and ends Nov 30. 100pts of models are to be painted, INCLUDING Warjack/Beast points, so it's more like 106-112, depending if you want to paint two casters as opposed to one giginormous theme list.

I'll be giving my long ignored Searforge the love they deserve, and opt for them for my 100pts, because at 100pts, that's pretty much everything that's out for Searforge (with doubles, oy!). I will be painting both Gorten AND Madhammer, again because, hey, I only have two casters period.

List should look something like this:

So, this is the list of things to paint in a month, with no real duplicates (The gunners and blasters are in a number that came in their respective boxes)

So I've got 12 points to add to the list (less if I don't count one of the casters). In my collection, i have a second unit of Highshield, a second unit of Hammerfall, and doubles of all the heavy jacks. I can easily break 100, but not sure what I want to put next. Jacks would be easier to do, as it's a lot of points for least amount of effort...And I do have a third Bokur...

Anyway, i'lll figure out the last bits here soon...it's not like I don't have enough to paint before then.

So, any other brave souls here thinking about jumping onto this mad bandwagon?

That's a pace of 13 foot and 2+ jacks per week.
At least there is Thanksgiving week to get ahead.

Yeah, i see it as more of a reason to kick my ass into gear painting...We'll see how much I get accomplished.

I'm going to paint them blue with white highlights, and they'll be standing on yellow flagstones. They'll be the Muchkinland Defense Corps, keeping the trade routes of the Emerald City free and clear.

I'd like to since I have well over that in my Cygnar, but grad school and work says "No, No".

I can't do it.

I can paint 35 points a week for one faction and 35 points the next week for another faction (and yes
I can keep that up for four weeks equaling 140 points total across four different factions) , but
damned if I'm going to kill my enthusiasm with a 100 point grind.

Grinding without variety murders me. Good luck to you all who attempt this.

Yeah, it's paint 100pts of models, not necessarily 100pts of the same faction.

Rhulic are easy for me, because it's one lump sum.

100...now I have to go through my stock and see if I have it.

I'm "cheating" by painting my Casters this weekend before November starts, since they technically don't have a point cost, and actually reduce your lists point cost due to warjack/beast points.

Epicast, the company that makes the scenic bases that i'm using for my Rhulics, are closing shop, so it'll be near impossible for me to get more of the scenic bases that I use for my 'yellow brick road'. I called them, and they said that they might be able to make more, but that'd be about $80 for me to drop to finish out the force, but leaves me out of luck for furture expansions.


Well, i do have a collection of Khador that needs some pink loving.

Onward, Rhulic Brothers!

I would so be down for this challenge, but for each of my armies I just don't have that many unpainted figures. On top of that I don't have a lot of spare time. But, to stand in solidarity with those who have the unpainted figures and the determination to get 100 points painted I'll squeeze in the time to get a couple of my own figures done. Or maybe a few more. Who knows.

Well, it doesn't ahve to be 100pts from the same faction. A lot of folks have gone that way for ease of painting, but you can paint whatever models you want.

I have madhammer on the block now, and 5 Gunbunnies primed and in the wings. Go go production Line!

Got started last night. Primed a gakload of models, and started the metals on 5 Helljacks.

I will be continuing work on those tonight, along with re-washing my Bane Thrall UA and Tartarus. Just not happy with those ATM.

I figure I should be able to finish all the Helljacks by Monday. The only thing needing assembly and prime is the Harrower.

I'm actually jumping ship from Mercenaries to my Khador. I started a project with them, and never finished it, and it's more deserving of my attention and efforts.

I'm pretty much out of the running for 100pts. I've finished one model, and it's not even from the group I originally thought I'd do it for.

Instead, i think i'm going to focus on my Mercenaries, and finish up the smattering of solos and jacks i have left unpainted. This way, when Captain Damino comes out, he's got a fully painted possee to roll with.

It's ok, we'll understand... you are just not as awesome as malfred then...

Though...malfred can give into weakness at any point.
