Ok so I made a wet pallete earlier using bits that i found around the house, sadly its not as effective as what i had hoped. Im guessing its the greaseproof paper I used.

So what kinds of papers do you use for wet palletes?? Roughly how much do they cost??

I tend to use old paint pots to keep mixtures of paint. got the idea from an old Black Gobbo article on painting Ogre Flesh.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

The wet pallete wasnt intended for mixing paints, more of preserving the paints as most dry up very quickly if used on a tile or something similar.

Parchment paper. It comes from the baking isle of your local grocery store. It has a slight waxy texture, but is not waterproof. You want paper that will allow some water to work its way through, which I would not expect a greaseproof paper to do.

I would also recommend soaking in hot water for a couple of minutes to allow the water to fully penetrate before applying to your wet pallete box.

Butcher paper of Baking paper (also called parchment).
They come in rolls packaged in the long box like wax paper, saran wrap, or aluminium foil is packaged.
Costs about a dollar for a roll and lasts about as long as it takes for your wife to get tired of looking at the box on the floor under the work bench and decides to throw it away.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Would last ages as i currently do not have a wife lol, and nobody dares throw out stuff in my room either, so it will lat ages.

Will have to go and get some soon then.
