So I recently moved into my new house and I'm planning to start a new Tau army from scratch. so I was taking a look at Forgeworld's XV89 suits and I was planning to magnetize the arms, but I was concerned for what kinds of magnets I should use for the arms. From the looks of it, the weapons seem to be inserted through a rectangular opening for gluing. I plan to dill holes into these openings to insert some magnets, but how fragile is the resin for the FW's parts? I've read that FW's resin is more fragile than GW's, so I fear that I might crack it during drilling, can anyone shed some light here? Thanks

I guess that would depend on the speed/pressure of your drill. I haven't had it crack on me, but I'm certainly not very experienced with FW resin other than small things like Tyranid Warrior Wings.

I used a 4mm wood bit & did it by hand.
Note: GW doesn't do resin it does plastic.

I wouldn't use a power drill useless it can do really slow speeds.
