I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Often for me it's a particular song rather than a band.

"B*tch*s" was the first track that hooked me. Heard it on a Boston college station in the middle of the night at random backn in the 90s. Took me a while to track it down, back then.

So excited! Been waiting for them to reform since the 90's. Well, maybe 2000. But far too bloody long regardless.

Don't know them? Go use youtube. I can particularly reccomend anything at all by them.

They are so damn good. I've seen them live a couple of times, including at the MFA in Boston when they blew the fuses and we had to sit in the dark for a few minutes while they fixed the plave.

One of my exes was a huge fan, had seen them a bunch of times, but they had never played Birdhouse in Your Soul at any of those shows, which was one of her favorites. When we went and saw them together the first time, a couple of months into our relationship, they played it, and she jumped up and down in sheer joy, yelling to me "I love you, I love you, I love you!" which was the first time she had said it to me.

Definitely got some great memories associated with them, but they're a really excellent band as well.

TMBG gives a great live show.

They absolutely tore the roof off of Higher Ground in Burlington, VT. I've been to quite a few shows of many different genres, but I've never experienced the kind of euphoric energy that took over that venue.

It's seriously one of my greatest memories in life.

I'll agree on the Femmes. Offspring put on a good show, as do Reel Big Fish. If you like your grunge angry, Local H put on a pretty heavy show.

Best live show I've ever seen was Rage Against the Machine at Lollapalooza, 70k people...amazing.
