The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Golden Demon Spain 2010 - Slayer Sword Winner
Looks alot like the SC2 Intro where the dude was welded into his armor....

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

some nice stuff here. wow.
Golden Demon Spain 2010 - Slayer Sword Winner would have gotten his inspiration from SC2 for sure! Ha. I thought it was pretty funny.
Looks like the more organic type characters get the rewards too. Hmm.
Lots of space marines. Too many. Not enough Eldar though. :(

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k. |

I wasn't impressed with france very much this year. It seemed like the Gold placers had significantly less definition than other countries. Could be the camerawork, however.

Suprised by the UK youngblood winners, The Tau Ethereal is good but I'm suprised it beat the spacemarine, which imo is better.

The judging this year tended towards the bright 'Eavy Metal' style of painting... as always, subjectivity and true style went out the window in favour of what GW wants to push next.

2 of the diorama winners for France I have definitely scene before, the Battle for Macragge diorama and the Death Korps quad battery.
They seem to be pushing FW vehicles too, 2 of 3 vehicle winners from all except France were FW from all of them (1 of 3 for France).

Let me re-phrase: Commercial subjectivity; bias; profit-motive.
