I have found Dnet to be an interesting place. Like most army-specific sites, response rates are fairly low and you tend to get a prevailing mindset of responses from people repeating veteran members' views on things like army lists and unit usage.
While this can be less than helpful at times, sometimes it does give you a new look at options
For instance, they seem to be in love with a BSB on Pegasus, something that I honestly hadn't ever considered.

I troll around over there a little, not nearly as much as dakka. Mostly for the reasons stated by Kirb. They do have some great resources to tactics, but they do tend to be a little narrow on army builds, etc...
I like using dakka a little more for the fact there's a lot more players from different armies who can pitch in "outside views" Like basically telling me "sure, go ahead and take that, because I have unit X which will wipe it out no problem"
Stuff like that, still....Dnet can be pretty helpful. Their rules section is pretty great for hashing out rules that have a big affect on dark elves individually.

Agreed. I post over on Bugman's but spend more time on Dakka. Getting the variety of viewpoints is pretty handy, and the traffic is a little higher (even down here in the Fantasy slums!)
Bugman's is a great site, but traffic only tends to pick up close to releases (like the new edition or a new dwarf book, or to a lesser extent other army books). I suspect, but don't know, that other race specific sites are similar.

Yeah I've never really understood the harpy obsession that lot have, sure they're good but they're not that good. Still it's certainly a useful site, I'm not a member over there but I do read the tactic articles etc on occasions and look for painting/modelling ideas that would fit in my army.
As for a Pegasus BSB, that does sound daft as you're just asking for a cannon ball to the face. However I can certainly see the benefits of a BSB who can quickly get where he's needed. If I were to have a BSB mounted on something it would probably be a chariot simply because it would be an awesome model.
