Gold doesn't need to be terribly different from your other colors. You still need some darker shade colors that you mix with lighter ones for the highlights. Just make them all metallic paints, and you're good.

The colors I used were a base coat in Tin Bitz, which I worked up to P3 Brass Balls, and then worked up to Mithril Silver. The Tin Bitz was dark enough that I didn't feel the need to add any brown ink to the mix (which I sometimes do, depending on the effect that I want to achieve).

They really do. The list of sculptors they use is a good "who's who" of top notch industry sculptors.
