Don't know if this is the right place for this question, but oh well.
I'm planning on getting an army case. You know, the cases in which you carry your armies.
And i'm looking for alternatives other than the gw one. So, what brands do you use? And if i decide to, how do i go about to make my own?

I use Figures in Comfort, decent quality bags, good quality foam and not too expensive.
If you're making one yourself you'll need so good quality, high denier cloth. Double it up and sew a layer of foam between them for padding. make sure you reinforce the seams with something as well and use strong thread for the sewing.

Yeah, and you'll need a good machine to do it for you as I'd recommend doing each seam twice and some cheep machines won't handle the thickness / grade of material you'd need to make a strong case.

I can't speak about the purchasing of cases. I just use a shoebox lol (my army isn't much over 1000 pts). I think if you wanted to make your own case, you don't have to sew it. You could go get a storage bin, or a tool chest (a plastic one), and simply line it with egg-box foam, or you could order some cut foam from Battlefoam or the like, and use that. With a little bit of shopping around, I'm sure you could have a perfectly usable carrying case for your army.

Yeah, I've been using a pair of shoeboxes too up 'til now xD
But well, sewing is not really my thing, so that is out of the question.
One of my biggest worries is my Monolith. Due to it's size, some of the cases are not wide enough... And i don't want both a case and a bax for my monolith.
Will check out these brands you mentioned soon, don't have the time atm.
Thanks anyhow.
