I guess the first thing that comes to my mind is see if there is anything you can do to alleviate any of the stress?

For example, if you get home from work, sit down and start to relax, and she gets home from work and has to make dinner, deal with kids, do dishes and laundry, I could see why she'd be more stressed. Helping with sundry chores goes a long way towards cutting out stress in a relationship.

Post less on dakka = more time to help out .
Yay for friends with benefits?

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Well, everybody can be moody, stressed out,and/or act like a bitch over silly stuff. The question is how often it happens and what's the source of the persons stress?

Equity. No matter what you do in life, are you getting back as much or more than you put in? Simple and effective. Not implying ditching someone instantly, but I ended a relationship with someone I still cared about deeply because the circumstances drove me insane and my life is tons better consequently. I lost some, but gained a lot more. My biggest issue now is trying to get the people that are into me to not fall deeply in love with me... "I'm such a good guy" and "No one has ever treated me like you do" and blah... Anyone have an answer to this one? Yes, I'm being really blatant about not wanting a relationship now.

That's an easy one Cannerus, you simply let the other party know that "while you enjoy spending time with them, you simply aren't looking for a committed relationship."

At that point they either call you an a**hole and leave or they accept the boundaries.

I say it because I do not know the OP's gender or the gender of the person in question.

Go to a toy soldier/nerd forum and ask them about it.

This made me laugh. Nice one George

Well obviously the guy (guy right?) thinks of some of the people on here as "friends" and so I can understand why people ask so many odd relationship questions on the forum. I agree with what RedBeard said. Take a step back and look at the whole picture to see what might be going on. And its very easy to tell if your not pulling your weight in a relationship, if not then youve found your problem, its you. Talk to the "person" in question and just ask to have an honest adult talk about whats going on. Obviously something is, since he/she is acting in a moody manner, thats not normal.

Do what i do, bottle it up.... and then explode randomly in times of stress.

But seriously, give each other space, yet make time for each other aswell (i know it sounds daft). and share responsibility and duties, but dont be petty with it ("I washed up last night! .. grrrr"). And just do, friend stuff.... play nice.... or naughty.. that might help.

Meh. Nevermind.

OT: I think it's normal for married couples to get on eachother's nerves at times. The key is dealing with it in such a way that it doesn't get out of control.

If you think that the moodiness might not be as benign as the occasional crankiness that we all experience that issue could be deeper, but I don't know enough about the situation to say more than that.

I don't see the need for such a caveat. The original post is phrased clearly and could work easily for either a straight or gay married couple.

I took the term "bitch" to be indicative of a female partner.

But yeah, the question would be the same. I wasn't trying to be a douche, I just had my view of things knocked askew for a moment. Forget I brought it up, and refer instead to my folksy, home-spun advice.

Me too dude. Cept' we're not married

Just don't argue back. It might seem really hard not to get the last word in every time, but just do it.

Also, choose your words carefully. All the time. You have to consider everything you're saying, or else something meaningless might turn into a fight.

Isn't it weird how some of the best girls are moody trainwrecks?

Ahem.

I would run as far away from that relationship as possible, to be honest. There's lots of great girls out there that aren't so unpleasant to be around.

Sometimes crazy chicks are also awesome. That being said, not all women are moody trainwrecks, around whom you have to always watch what you say. There are good ones who are more laid back.
