Ok so I've made this 2500 point Blood Angel list. I was trying to go for something different, dunno if I succeded, but I'm pretty happy with the list as it stands. Here it is, I'll put an overview up at the end. What do you guys think?

HQ
Dante

Elites
3 Sanguinary Priests with Jump Packs. 2 go with the assault squads, one with Dante's squad.

2 furioso dreads with heavy flamers and talons in drop pods.

Troops
2 assault squads, 10 strong. 2 hand flamers in each and sergeants with power fists.

1 Tactical squad, 10 strong. Flamer and missile launcher, the sergeant has a fist and melta bombs.

Sanguinary Guard (counts as troops because of dante) 5 strong with basic equipment

Fast Attack
2 bike squads. 3 bikes in each, one man with a meltagun and sergeant with power wep. each squad also has an attached multi melta attack bike

Heavy Support
2 devastator squads, 10 strong. 4 missile launchers and a drop pod for each.

Here's basically what i want to do: Since there's a big problem with dropping a furioso into the middle of the enemy army first turn (problem being.....it dies) I've put my devastators into the first 2 pods, which allows me to do 2 things. Firstly, give them a good line of sight from a decent firing point, while also giving them a cover save by hiding the extra men behind the pod. Secondly, this frees up my dreadpods to come in when I want them to.

The priests will accompany the assault squads to go tear up the enemy...as blood angels do. Dante will either deep strike behind a tank and take it out with his pistol and no scatter deep strike or set up normally as the situation calls for. He will generally be going after tough units and the enemy HQ with his sanguinary squad. The bikes will provide fast moving tough melta to bring down enemy tanks. The devastators have missile launchers because they are both anti-tank and anti-infantry and are also 10 points each. this list is 2500 on the dot. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking maybe drop the extra guys from the devastator squads to add in a third or a heavy hitting tank.

I'm not an BA player, so i can't comment too much on the list, but i think If you are going to take devastators, i would probably not deploy them in pods, since you lose a whore turn of shooting, and it's not like you want them close the enemy anyway. I would think it would be better to drop them empty, and deploy the dev's somewhere in cover, such as a building.

As for the rest, i'm not sure the tac squad is needed, and think you'd be better off with more assault marines, and i would probably give them meltaguns over flamers. If you want a cheap scoring unit for a back objective or something, i guess i'd take some scouts.

i've considered scouts...with camo cloaks. Makes for pretty resilient units. I have been over some debate with that tac squad, but an assault squad is pricier. As for the devastators, against people like Eldrad and the deciever who can re-deploy, I dont want my devastators to get caught out of LOS, so putting them in a pod lets me deploy them once the game has started. Yes they lose a turn of shooting which is bad, but I can put them wherever I want them, on a hill outisde my deployment zone or far off in the distance somewhere, I wont be putting them anywhere near the enemy.
I used to have meltaguns in the assault squads, but flamers are better against hordes. That's also something im still debating with myself, they'd also lose an attack which isnt TOO much of a worry seeing as there are 11 guys per squad

Isnt he going to drop pod deploy with them though? (which is reverse of what most people do with dreads in drop pods)

Agreed on the tac to more assaults. Meltas would also probably be better than hand flamers

If I put them in pods, they lose a round of shooting because they're disembarking
