I have a few questions about the Mawloc's ability 'Terror from the deep'...

1) I'm was assuming that because the Mawloc will scatter off it's Deep Strike, that the ''Large Blast Template'' for it's "Terror From The Deep" doesn't scatter?

2) The Large Blast Template, has caused some debating... Is it considered a shooting attack, a close combat attack, or is it somehow neither? I would assume that the template makes it a shooting attack. This was originally in regards to Jetbikes only getting a cover save from shooting attacks, which is when the Mawloc came up. It also doesn't occur in the shooting phase, so, I'm once again doubtful that it is a shooting attack.

All opinions would be great, please tell me I'm wrong, or give me your opinions!

The large blast marker doesn't scatter. If you read carefully, what happens is, you roll for the mawloc's deep strike, and if he ends up on a spot occupied by another model (friend or foe) THEN you place the blast marker. It only comes up if the Mawloc lands on a spot occupied by another model. That having been said, the marker itself doesn't scatter, only the mawloc. I dont think you should get a cover save...it isnt a shooting attack, it happens in the movement phase and i dont think hiding behind a rock is gonna save you from something coming up underneath you anyway XD

I believe i've assumed as much This will of course hopefully resolve some debates.
