Well been away for while and neglected my BT's (doing Eldar, heresy I know, SW and BA). Decided to give my bikes the 1st lookin, a bit of rebuild and revival and some brand new conversions.

Going for the really kinghtly look with these guys, lots of banners, ribbons, P-seals, BT icons etc etc. .

Marshal: Cant see to much, as said some older models needing some updateing and extra decor added.

Standard:This guy just counts as a sdtandard biker with bolt pistol. Of course might change next time BT codex gets(if) an update.

And somthing I have been meaning to do for a while. A reclusiarch or 'chaplin' on a bike, as the stock one GW puts out is a little naff. Sawed up the middle on his legs thru the scrolls hanfging from his belt, then across the waist. Turned out pretty well as the legs sit more or less perfect on the bike.

He'll have a P-fist and his power weapon, did want the Pfist on the right but couldnt find one that looked right. So, will be on the left holding the handlebars very carefully.

Not to sure to give him a storm bolter as well and make itbuilt into the front with the other two bolters or not. I got 5 pts spare on my 1500pts list for it.

Anyways, C&C please if you will.

I like those bikers. As you said yourself, really knightly looking and it is just right for these guys. Hopefully we're going to see some Dreds and highly modified Emperor's Champion too!

A very good start, with a good use of kit-bashing as well. Just for my personal preference I would change the bases if I were you, the rounded cavalry bases really do a lot to the model.

Thanks very much all, been doing BT for a fair while now. Since the limited addition BT emperors champion was released. So Will be plenty of converted models being posted, from a model rework to new paint job.

Yeah, I do like them. But have these already and doesnt the rounded bit on the front stick out a bit. As thinking it means the difference between if my emeney is out of range and not. Every millimeter counts.

Thanks very much for comments everyone. Will hopefully get the chaplin modeled onto the bike, just waiting on the mail order coming in to make sure i got all my option that I would like to use before I commit to the final result.

Update on the chaplin, ..well..I might of went over the top a little with him. I still have some BT purity seals to stick on him and some details on the base just as soon as they get here. But pretty much finished modeling him.

Also gave him the strom bolter, worked into the bolters on the bike.

...then again, might be just enough OTT.

If I might suggest something for a very knightly look…

You can pick up a set of "Bretonnian Knights Errant / Knights of the Realm" heads off of ebay for cheep and they look great on BT models. They require clipping of tassels in some cases though, but I think that you would be up to the challenge.

i am liking this! if you want knight heads I have a bunch i would happily give away, thou i dont like them much on SMs

Thanks Ma55ter_fett, but like Sageheart, I don't really like the WHF knight heads on SM. The only one I've used is the bare head from the empire knights sprue. Did try the others on random models in my BT army, but I never liked how they looked. I've used them for my WHF empire army and fit in well there.

It's a nice army but I just don't like the marshal's plume on the helmet, Its too roman and not enough knightish (if this makes sense).
Nice work with the chaplain. I shall follow this with interest!

Thanks commissar Argo, agreed it does resemble roman style. Need somthing to say hes in charge, well apart from the extra decoration anyways. And feathers look silly on SM's and I mean bird feathers not the aquila style stuff.

I undestand what you mean, Nothing says "I'm in charge" more than a fancy helmet and I agree the feather in the helmet thing that real life knights did isn't as cool as the room style plume but it just go against the BT theme, but its your army, your choice.

Bird feather do look silly on loyalist marines.

Well these damn bikes just dont want to have a decent photo taken. Maybe becuase I got fed up painting them, still have another 6 of them to paint. Got bored and made some troops.

Wow, very impressive. You've managed to capture a lot of movement in the models. Something not always easy to do with some of the SM range. I've already seen your painting standard so I definitely looking forward to these guys been finished.

Thanks both, Took a lilttle break and made a IC for my BT, I'll just show the painted pics. Done some hard core painting for me and actually managed to get this one done. Well got to name the weapon tis why scroll is still blank, any ideas?

@ChocolateGork, 100% on the money, has been agredd in my home games I can run him as seth in my BT army, same stats, same points. Tell you what though, getting the arms to fit where the hands are on the C-sword was a bit difficult. The only parts I used from the seth model is the C-sword.

All kit bash, assualt legs, templar torso, and various bits and plastic rod for the studs.

And no, the only bits to have a gloss finish is the blood on the ground around the dead DE warrior.
