Parasite is Important if you want to damage more Armored stuff.

POW5 essentially jumps to POW 8 vs. a Parasited Unit.

Another option would be to run Bane Thralls/Tartarus for an additional -2 Arm.

So with those two combined you have an essentially POW10 vs. the Affected Unit. Of course you can share the wealth and distribute Parasite and Dark Shroud on different units.

But it's important to say that it's not to be counted on. It's nice when something dies to to, but the Focus Battery Recharge is the main event.

The feat itself reinforces the toolbox/flexible caster pGaspy is.
