I want to start a LATD force, and have some elements of it, but dont know what to use for maruaders. I have found to great candidates but i dont know which to go for.

These guys are only 25 quid for the whole set, so even just buying one wont hurt me much, they are GW scale:

maybe you could find 1 or 2 of each on ebay and see which ones work better.

Well, I do love both. The cheaper ones are pretty good quality and great value, the the latter will have lots more coming out soon, including HW and HQ. I was thinking about how to incorperate them both but no ideas so far. With the warzone ones I only want 40 of them tbh, I don't like those ones with the double barrelled weapons

Yeah the doubled barreled weapons do look a bit wierd.
You could use the warzone ones as more elite troops as they look more heavily armourd.

Get both, although you did miss out on the warzone halloween sale. You will need more bases however. WF does not have bases currently and Warzone has 20mm bases.

I will probably just modify the significantly cheaper slottas, I am on a bit of a budget, and want to include both in a fighting force, but how can I?

Try and prioritise your selections. I remember that when I first started IG, I wanted an All-tank force. So I decided to get all tanks.....

It took me so long to get an army, only for it to get lost when I moved, that I didn't get to play a single game.

Start with the cheaper selection, It will give you something to work on until you have enough to get the more expensive stuff. Try and make the bigger and the more expensive units in your force a sort of prize for completing the smaller elements.
