I think take away two of the drop pods from the tacs, and give them rhinos.

If your family is mad at you, Ogres are the way to go. No one could be mad at Ogres. But if you come out and they demand to know what you're wasting your time on and you hold up a rat, you're not going to make any friends.

You need heavy weapons in the tactical squads. That's too many tacticals anyways, but the free heavy is always worth it. At worst you lose 1 shot while moving (2 shots with boltgun vs 1 shot with pistol) and if you don't move you get a far better shot. It also gives you flexibility in combat squads.

To fit your theme you could comfortably drop 2 tacticals and put in 2 more dreads - you could afford Ironclads even.

I'd try and turn one or two of those Tac Squads into Sternguard squads. You've got plenty of scoring units already.

You also should have some more Melta weaponry interspersed in the infantry units. Remember, Vulkan twin links those, as well.

Its an interesting idea, you definatly have plenty of scoreing units, and your definatly useing Vulkan well.

What I'd change. I'd recommend droping the MoF, and heres why. In this list you'd be much better off replaceing the Dreadnoughts with Ironclad Dreadnoughts, you can take the same two ranged weapons while retaining a DCCW and a Seismic Hammer, snd they are much more surviable.

You'll end up with some points left over, so I'd also recommend purchaseing some Power Fists for your the Seargants in your Tactical Squads.

Why would you want Rhinos giving away target priority to the enemy? Only benefit is objective taking and a smart opponent would nail them so the squads are in foot so in same position as the Drop Pods

He's probably not taking heavy weapons because they cannot shoot when they land in with Drop Pods. However, it is always worth it as free. Personaly I'd take a multi melta to get more Vulkcan bonus
