Saturday, showdown between DoA Blood Angels (me) and Tyranids (Michael) at newly opened GW Berlin, Spandau.
We had the pleasure to be the first playing a game there.

Blood Angels:
Librarian w/ jp
5 Honor Guard w/ jps, flamer x4
2 Priests
7 Assault Termies – instead of another Librarian and Honor Guard (borrowed from Frank's beautifully painted Space Wolves)
3x 10 Assault Marines w/ melta x2, pf
3x 5 Vanguard w/ jps, pf

Tyranids:
Alpha Warrior
2x 5 Warriors
2 Hive Guards
20 cc Gaunts
20 shooty Gaunts
2x 20 Gargoyles
6 Raveners
2x 1 Trygon Prime
3 Zoantrophes

Total: 2000 pts.

Mission: 2 objectives; mine in the corner, Nids in the centre (occupied by Alpha Warrior and Warrior brood).
Deployment: DoW

Tyranids have started the game.

Blood Angels have fully stayed in reserve:
Assault squads have been combat squadded.
Deep striking: 3x 5 Marines w/ meltas, Libby, Honor Guard, and Vanguard Vets.
From the board edge: 3x 5 Marines w/ pf and Assault Termies.

The game has ended after 5 turns with a draw.
I have held the Termies a bit back since his 2nd Trygon and the Raveners have shown up rather late.
The Termies are Trygon insurance.

In round 6, Michael also admitted that there was a chance for my Honor Guard to contest his objective.

Honor Guard was the best unit in the game. Four flamers are absolutely devastating (Gargoyles, Raveners, Gaunts); three broods taken down with ease.

It was a fine game. Next time i will have a bit more challenging list. Oh, and you forgot my two, more then disappointing Hive Guards . They will be reabsorbed and next time they will be reborn as gaunts.

Surprise is an insubstantial blade, a sword worthless in war.
It breakes when troops rally. It snaps when commanders holt the line.
But fear never fades.
Fear is a blade that sharpens with use.
So let the enemy know we come. Let their fears defeat them as everything falls dark.
At the world´s sun set.....
As the city is wreathed in its final night.....
Let ten thousand howls promise ten thousand claws.
The Night Lords are coming.
And no soul that stands against us shall see another dawn!

Hi Michael, nice to see you at this site as a long-term SW player and B&C member.
Indeed, I forgot the Hive Guard (now included).
Next time, I want to see my Assault Termies in action.

Looks like a fun game.

My Hive Guard are usually some of my best choices but his list had no mech so they were at a disadvantage.

Well, the Termies can eat a Trygon. This beast will eventually inflict 6 wounds, but only two Termies will die on average.
If the Termies would have charged, the Trygon would be gone.
