I'm sure that the 'Switch Theme' button used to be able to be click-activated, we were able to cycle through the georgeous themes with single clicks. I was wondering if it might be possible to reimplement this as personally, I loved it. The drop-down menu is quite nice for displaying the additional themes and their titles, but perhaps a 'quick switch' icon alongside?

Sorry to have a cry, it's been bugging me since it changed (and if it was all a dream, hey )

It had to be changed I'm afraid. Before it would preload everything in the background and switch instantly, but now it downloads on request. With more themes it would dramatically slow the loading speed of the site to reimplement and would mean awful performance on devices like mobile phones. I tried everything I could to keep it but it was not possible in the end.

As a follow up I just thought of, is it possible to tie a last used setting to logging on or as a profile preference? Without too much coding type trouble?

it stays independent of login details so that it can vary for one user who has multiple computers / locations they use dakka. The code to implement a fixed style for a user is not really worth the effort in my opinion.
