i'll have to go back and read the rest of them, but as a raven guard successor player, i was cheesed to see that you chose corax, and also with how well you laid out what he was about, and what makes him and the raven guard so cool.

having said that, i might suggest an edit on the konrad curze. i figured something out about him, you see...
there was a polish author, writing in the late 19th/ early 20th century, joseph conrad.
he wrote some pretty influential stuff, so much so that francis ford coppola made a film based on one of his works, apocalypse now.
the novel it was based on was titled heart of darkness, and took place in the late 1800s, in the heart of africa, but the story was otherwise much the same.
including the name of the villain, simply kurtz or mr. kurtz in the novel.
if you aren't familiar with either the film or the book, go grab one or the other, though you might already know how the story will end by now...
furthermore, night haunter's homeworld was called nostramo.
a later novel of conrad's was titled nostromo, which was also used as the name of the ship in alien.
sulaco, fom the sequel, is, i believe, also from a conrad work.

just some of the bits my narcolepsy-addled, trivia-packed brain have linked together...

You really put some good effort into that and I loved reading your top ten. Nice work. I didn't realise there was so much background on some of the primarchs so you really gave me a new insight into 40k. When i was reading this it felt like christmas and my birthday put together, i loved everything you wrote.

Welcome to the Daemonhunters, the ranks of the exalted Ordo Malleus and their cannon fod....er, I mean, loyal allies. Remember...the only ones who need fear the righteous might of the Ordo Malleus are the Daemonic.

quote: Dashofpepper: ...sad rivulet of demon prince tears. He ponders for a moment, then lashes the demon hunters into him. He assaults them, kills a terminator or two....and then demon hunters being demon hunters....they proceed to wtfpwn him. Second player leaves the table...

My god, thank you man. That means a lot and is a huge compliment, seriously. Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

This is very well written in my opinion and it kept me entertained as I was reading it.

I am currently in the middle of reading the Horus Heresy books and do not know about a couple of the primarchs but this gave me a vauge idea.

Thanks for putting it up

Magnus is ranked 7th? I see what you did there.

Jokes aside, a well thought out and interesting read.

Thanks man, really appreciate it! I hope I didn't spoil anything for you in regards to the HH series, but trust me, some great novels have come out since I wrote this! Glad it helped clue you in too!

I'm not sure I actually know what I did there? What did I do there?

Thanks though man, glad you liked it (well apart from Magnus' place!)
