Hey guys, so as a bit of a side project from my Red Scorpions I am going to start back up my world eaters again. The last time they were a force was 3rd/4th edition and the only surviving models of that lot are 8 blood letters, kharn, a few berzerkers plus parts and my daemon prince.

I got on the simple green bandwagon and stripped these guys to repaint them but that got me thinking that maybe I would go for the pre-heresy colour scheme. I haven't read any of the fluff around this/them and the pre-heresy world eaters but would it work for the khorne berzerker styled armour?

So what I have now waiting for building and paint is:

Daemon Prince(metal), wings, plastic axe from the new DP kit. - Stripped back to metal and green stuff
Chaos Terminator Lord kit. - Un-built
Kharn(metal), minus head. - Stripped back to metal

5x FW world eaters terminator torsos, shoulders, heads etc.. HF/PW, 2xLC's for the rest. Chaos Termie legs. - Un-built
5x Possessed, have enough random parts from old berserkers that I have now stripped to make 8 of these guys with a new to mutation look (as opposed to the full mutant look of the standard kit). - Un-built

30x FW World eaters berzerkers torsos, shoulders and heads, 24 berzerkers (So enough total to do 3x8 man squads as per the old fluff and have some spare parts for Kharn and the Possessed). - Un-built
8x Blood letters (The metal ones with double handed axes, so much tougher looking than those little bitch ass plastic ones) - Stripped back to metal

3x Chaos Rhinos with FW world eaters doors. - 1x Built
1x Chaos LR with FW world eaters doors. - Un-built

I just want to run it as a fun assault army for our highly non competitive wednesday nights so don't worry that the list is probably awful.

So would this work out well in blue and white (I think there is a book about pre-heresy world eaters, has anyone read it?), what colour should the demon flesh be? I would assume the demons would still be red as with the mutated flesh on the possessed and the skin parts of the DP. I like the scheme and I think it would look pretty good but I don't want to dive into it and find it starts looking like arse half way through though (the red skin tones of the demons I will do quite dark as blood red vs blue/white on the same model would be very harsh!).

Have you guys got any thoughts for me on this? I've done a little research but most of what I have seen is people using either the older Mk armoured space marines or vanilla marines in the colour scheme. I want to use the current berzerker-esq armour with the khorne symbols and rabbit ears. I know I can do what I want but was just looking for a little C&C.

P.s. I will add pics to this thread when I start work on them. Just getting the ideas going for now. Probably won't be far off though, don't have heaps more to paint of the red scorpions now.

Also for the metallic armour trims: Silver, Gold or Brass?

White/Blue/Silver with subdued Red Demonic flesh is what I am leaning towards

Had to take that 4th option down, hah! It was eating up the votes like crazy and I actually wanted to get some proper feedback.

Unfortunately I've dropped a little too much coin on this gear to paint it rainbow colours.

Mad respect for you, brother. I tried to do a Pre-Heresy WE squad. I stopped after like 3 models. White and blue is not for me, especially since I'm too stubborn to use a white undercoat. I wish you much luck.

I'm having pretty good results with the white I have done so far in my other army but I'm not sure how I would go about making it look grungy and battle worn without just looking gak.
