What's the story with driving on to the table at an angle? I assume it's possible. For example, if there is an ork trukk 5" off the table edge I could drive my rhino on from the table edge at an angle such that I get a decent ram. As is the case with driving on straight, one would simply measure from the point at which the vehicle enters the table.

This one is a bit of a grey area, because there are no rules allowing you to tank shock from reserve. However, as you move "normally" (I.e up to your maximum movement) when coming on from reserve, I could see this happening.

Id allow it, so long as no point of the vehicle is further on the table than its Max movement (which in this case will be a corner).

No reason why it shouldn't be allowed. Nowhere does it say you have to come on in a straight line. I'd have no problem with this.

Well there ARE rules allowing TS from reserve - the fact moving on from reserve is a normal move, and TS can be performed instead of making a normal move.

You can also "come on" at an angle, as pivoting does not cost any movement

I would think that it's not allowed. You shouldn't use any special rules that has a possibility of not allowing you to come fully on board.
Tankshock/Ram can fail and leaving you halfway off the board. Maybe not in this particular scenario but in general.
Maybe I'm wrong about this, but that's how I've played so far.

Tankshock / Ram is NOT A special rule of the unit, therefore it CANNOT be ignored *even if* it leaves you partilly off the board.

(Not that being partially off is a problem of course, but that can of worms can be left alone!)

How do you follow the tank shock procedure if you are not on the board though? The first step is to pivot in place to face a direction...

Because you are told where the tank is when you are moving reserves on: front edge of tank at the edge of the table.

Yeah so the tank could therefore coem on "corner first". Personally I love this, as I can imagine a land raider coming on from reserve to grind some lesser vehicle into the dust!

Eldar do it all the time, mainly when bringing in fast skimmers that want to Flat Out but not end up in my half - they come "on" from one edge at a very acute angle. They have still moved more than 12", but havent come more than 3 or 4" onto the board.

I should have clarified. In my original example, or any instance for that matter, I assume the vehicle makes it on to the table in its entirety.
