Hi guys.
Im use to just posting lists and getting peoples opinions but i find that just gets a load of..... hmmmms...... and..... hmphsssss.
So what im doing id posting what i have at the moment and hoping you guys can give good ideas on where to go from what i have and what i need.
The idea is to create a solid 2000Pt DA army. ( Im doing reasonably well so far just want secondary ideas

Deathwing must be your best option here? all your terminators, maybe a Land Raider and couple of vindicators (and Dread if he fits in...) might work quite well?

I see where your coming from and i appreciate the quick response but deathwing dont really work too well on the whole.
I will keep the terminators for when the codex is redone but at the moment they only work well with the one unit in a land raider or half/half deathwing/ravenwing for the guidance beacons.
And the dread would definately be going in by list. what i have tended to do is give him a plasma cannon and walk him slowly up the feild providing long range support for anyone who needs it.

The idea is to try and take first turn, and move the Ravenwings with their scout move so that the terminators can come down on unprotected targets that the ravenwing can provide with the meltaguns on transports. Dropping 2 heavy flamers any any unit that's not protected will hurt. Use the vindicators as a fire support base instead of the dreadnought. They come in at 20 points less per vindicator, and a strength 10 big blast compared to a strength 7 small blast, I'd rather have the bigger one that has better armor. The tactical squads hang around in their transports babysitting objectives or using their meltas to hurt transports.
Keep in mind it's not an optimal list, but it can get the job done in 2k.

it looks like a nice little list.
but wheres the free moving attack bikes?
and would it not be better to take 1 meltagun and 1 plasma gun to allow range for say.... monstoros creatures. in that case id rather stay my 24 inch away and take a would of it than get lose enough for it to charge me next turn.
and id change the 3 units of termies to jus 2 allowing the points for the attack bikes with multi meltas, frees up the points for the plasma guns. also leaving 110 pts to play with. could make one of the units of tac squads to 10 providing them with a missile laucnher and combat squading them. still having about 30 points to spare.
could give the termies with belial and librarian a banner allowing an extra atack in close combat. and why does the seargent not have LC or TH SS too?
On the whole i like this list but there are small changes that need to be made.

I have faced against Dark Angels a good handful of times, Pure Death Wing is kinda of a joke. My Sanguinary Guards cut threw them like butter, and all they have is other Terminators to support them, which my Sanguinary Guards love to chop up.
Now, I've faced a general well rounded Dark Angels army, and that proved more difficult, Ravenwing Bikers can get across the field and drop a Deathwing Package on my Flank and suddenly I have to deal with Terminators and Bikers when my Sanguinary Squad is charging the front lines. Ravenwing also likes to make me angry with use of breaking off and then regrouping with no problem boasting their Fearless and LD 10.
In terms of HQs I find Sammael the most annoying (meaning the most powerful) to face, he is T 4(5) and Immune to Instant Death, that makes him pretty hard to kill, it also doesn't help that he has a Bs 5 Plasma Cannon that he can fire.
Interrogator Chaplains in Terminator Armor w/t a Deathwing Squad has a redundant Fearless 3 times over, Interrogator Chaplain gives them fearless, his banner gives them fearless, when they are already fearless to begin with. But that doesn't mean he isn't useful, Have you thought about giving him a Jet-Pack so you can have a Fearless Assault Squad?

I looked at that GWS list and i dont agree with its form.
for 3000 points you really arent getting too much and it would be walked all over.
its too focussed on the deathwing.
i think this list must have been created closer to the release of the dark angel 4th edition codex,.

I have a jump pack Chaplain and I can tell you he packs a punch with an assault squad. Don't overestimate him though. I prefer to have him with stronger units such as veterans.

I dont particulaly run veterans anymore.
use to love fielding them but thay never performed as well as they should have. Mebbe i just play them wrong i dont know but they just seem like a more expensive version of tac squads. Yeh i can give them better wargear but at a considerable cost. I suppose with the bikes as my troops i could experiment and try a couple of vet squads in razorbacks maybe? dunno ill write up a few lists and play them against each other... yes i play myself XD but with an army i know how to play i wont be biased.

At 2000pts Sammael is great, but not being an "Independant" Character means he is running solo all day. Even in his BEAST of a land speeder, he ends up being a 205pt Target.

The Apothecary has the Chainfist, and the Standard Bearer has one of the TH-SS.
With the Current FAQ for Dark Angels, Making Cyclones 2 shots, and TH-SS 3+ invul. This list foor slogging accross the board is ugly to look at for just about anyone.
