Ok we're all probably pretty tired of high elf lists. But it's the only army I have to work with so here we go!

White Lions x14; Full Command

Ok so there it is. I feel like High Elves want to be in close combat, and want to be in it fast. With this list the skeinsliver will make it very likely I go first. The Banner of Sorcery is there to boost my chances on magic, no surprise really. The reason for the level 4 lore of light is for defense against shooting as well as getting to the enemy quick. (My goal is to be in close combat on turn 2). The Vortex Shard is there to ensure I don't get hit by any "your unit dies" spells. It's really easy to pop the vortex shard on their turn 1 and then potentially charge them on my turn 2. The Dispel Scroll is backup, or for following hexes/augments. The Standard of Discipline in my spearmen is so my Inspiring Presence will be leadership 10. The Level 1 mage is, like I said, a backup with a cheap scroll. As well as a Shield of Saphery chump. And against big magic lists I can always attempt dispel magic. I am a big fan of the level 1 high elf magic simply because I can throw 1 die at shield and cast it on a 4+, which is great because if they want it dispelled the safe bet for them is 2 dice.

I have another variant of this list that essentially drops out the white lions for 2 units of Ellyrian Reavers. I also feel I could drop the Lions for Dragon Princes as well.

Its different than the normal lists for sure..but I like it! got its own flavour.
Main issue I can see is that if everything starts to go wrong(opponent getting the first turn and gets a few cannons on the archmage or forces you to deal with 2 magic phases instead of one since you will have to choose between shutting down their first or second magic phase) it will be slightly weaker than a list that is just about using the "best" lores of magic and kitting out archmages with ethereal and 4+ ward save. I am not a fan of Standard of Discipline, since High Elves got rather good leadership. Also it might be worth considering to drop the Banner of Sorcery, with only one wizard that will need alot of dice you could manage without it. In that case give the Phoenix Guard Razorbanner, or swap that around with the Banner of Eternal Flame from the Swordmasters.
I'd say the list is fine as it is but thats the options I can think of that still follows the spirit of the army list.

Have you considered dropping the champs from the spearmen and taking them down to 20? You could make 3 groups of 20 if you did that.

This list is very similar to the one I'm building. I took out the swordmasters and I moved around some magic items on the heroes. Personally, I think I'm going to go LVL 4 life, LVL 2 death, LVL 1 shadow with a prince with the white sword/great weapon and 2+ armor. I was also able to fit in 2 white lion chariots.

It looks like you're going to rush the opponent with your harder hitting troops? If so, I really like your lore of light/high magic combo.
You might need to use the seerstaff on the LVL 4 to ensure you get the spells you want/need.
pha's protection and shield of saphery should really decrease the amount of casualties you take from shooting. They'll probably be hitting on 5's or 6's and then you get your 5+ ward.

Birona's timewarp to double movement and give everyone +1 attack... CRAZY
This is where your white lion chariots would come in. D6+1 impact hits at strength 5, 4 str 6 attacks (with Birona), 6 str 5 attacks (with Birona) causing fear all ASF? Pretty sweet. The should push combats in your favor by a lot.

The only complaint I have with the swordmasters is that they aren't very survivable to shooting.

Oh yeah, birona's timewarp makes your great eagles march 40 inches which is hilarious haha.

LVL 1 beast magic might be good too, +1 str, +1 toughness corrects a lot of what's weak in High Elves.
