Ok everyone i am trying to decide what to name and how to paint my new, or newish, chapter. I have 2500 pts of SW that are just waiting to be painted and i need to finally decide on how to do this. So i will be making a SW inspired chapter with of one of the following three options and i want your help to determine which one i should do. Please cast your votes and i will be writing fluff and background for whatever one I end up doing. In case you can't tell i am sort of sold on doing the colors in red black and white as far as color scheme go.

Red Wolves
The first option is a variant armor for Red Wolves in the Lexicanum. Who are there in name but little else, so i feel there is alot to work with.

Bulldogs
This would be a homage to where i am currently attending school but i do like the paint scheme option.

Night Hounds
This is another armor variant that i like, although i am not sure i am as sold on the name.

So help me out and cast your vote so that i can get to work writing fluff and painting.
I'm happy to answer any questions i can if it will help.
I am also not 100% sold on any one name in particular so if you can think of a better wolf/canine related name for one of the paint schemes i am open to hearing it.

Thanks to everyone for their help in advance.

Second one but i think they need a name change, Bulldogs sounds kind of weird, and yeah green eyes will probably look better

Shoot, i hope i didn't put it in the wrong forum. If i did i apologize. I looked around trying to find where to put it, and i figured since my plan is to eventually start painting them up and posting finished pics, that this would be the best place. Well if i am in the wrong place will someone let me know where i should move it to. Thanks.

I've made up an image to show a few things you might consider;

Possibly breaking up the back pack a little more could be one thing to do. Also if you're thinking about two colours on the helmet how about a stripe instead, though obviously up to you.

For me the colour schemes all have good and bad points, personally I think just play around with it a bit more. Also don't forget to consider your detailing such as the runes and pelts as they will have an impact upon where you end up placing your colours.

Naming wise I wouldn't bother for a bit until you figure out a little bit more about the fluff, no point calling them the 'Shogunate' if you end up styling them as Greek hoplites, ok bad example but you get my point. Another point Red wolves already exist in fluff so up to you if you want to branch of that, personally I would go with something a little more original and closer to the fluff you end up creating.

3rd scheme is my favorite. If done properly, it will really stand out.

The 2nd scheme would look like an army of apothecaries to me.

1st isn't too bad, but I'm not a big fan of red as a main color.

I really like the 3rd one myself. I think that the red/white/black looks really sharp together.

Also, I think that the first 2 look a little bland and they both look quite familiar with other schemes I have seen.

I agree completely, it just might be hard to pull off because of all the black incorporated.

well if you start off with a black base coat and build up from there with the white and red, it may not be too difficult.

But, with complex schemes like this you will need to put a lot of effort into it, but it will be totally worth it.

Also, have you started any models yet? You may want to do one of each, just to see how they look on real models before deciding.

Last one looks more unique, because a lot of people are using red marines and this kind of paint scheme will make it stand out.

A lot of people are using Red marines atm, but only because BA is the newest dex, but then there is still an enormous amount of black marines too. The third scheme is not particularly unique at all, in fact its a mildly modified Black Templar livery.
