Can you do it? Can you turbo-boost in scout move? I always played that you could.... But last time I played my opponent denied me my turbo-boost in scout move and I decided to check it out....

So, now I'm not too sure... It says that you can move 24'' in MOVEMENT PHASE, as well as scout rule says that you can make NORMAL move....

The only codex that denies you from turbo-boosting on the scout move that i recall is Dark Angels Ravenwing bike squads.

Sure.

You can turbo boost Deffkoptas and get a 3++ save even, scouting - as long as you're more than 12" away from your opponent, you're good.

Your opponent is wrong. You can use Turbo Boosters in the Scout move just fine, as well as move flat out.

The only ones who can't are DE Scout Bikers, because their special rules prevent them from doing it.

As well, (Jet)Bikes that Turbo Boost get the 3+ Cover save against shooting if they do so in the Scout move, while Skimmers that move Flat out do not.

just a question on a question,

Why wouldnt the skimmer receive the save?

Skimmers receive a save if they moved flat-out in the previous movement phase. Scout move is not a movement phase.

Bikes that turbo-boost get a save in their opponent's next shooting phase. So they can boost while scouting and get the save. If they're going second they can even boost while scouting, move normally in T1 and still get the save in their opponent's T1.

Because that is the debatable RaW. Essentially the turboboost says do it and get a cover save in your oppinents next shooting phase, whilst flatout requires you to have moved flatout in your last movement phase to get the coversave. However scout move does say exactly as if it was a movement phase which for me would mean you still get the save.

By Gwar!'s interpretation if you turboboost in the scout move. Then go first you are free to leave your bike stationary in your turn and still claim the cover save when your opponent shoots at you. I'd advise talking over with your opponent exactly how they want the cover save to work before doing so in game as it will cause arguments the minute you tell your opponent your stationary bikers that have just shot at him are now getting a 3+ coversave for turboboosting...
