I have been milling this over for a while... ever since I read an article on another site.

I am in the process of trying to work up a wishlist for my loving wife for the up-coming gift-giving season.

I have run head-long into a quandry. I currently have five armies. Yeah... five. They are as follows...

Space Marines: Praetors of Orpheus @2000 pts @ 70% painted
Necrons @2100 pts 100% completely painted
Orks @1800 pts @ 20% painted
Space Marines: Space Wolves @1800 pts @ 40% painted
Chaos Marines: Word Bearers @2000 pts @ 80% painted

I also have a small force of Tyranids (@500 pts)

My question thusly becomes this..... Where do I go from here?

I have previously posted about adding a Baneblade to my Chaos army and then I thought of air-support (Hell Talon- Fighter Bomber) But each time I think about it, the idea of getting these big-ticket items seems daunting, especially when I do not play Apoc games.

Here are some other ideas that I have pondered...
I thought of the Battle Realms table system, but then thought that I already have a table to play on. Granted... the BR would be easier to set up and store.
I have given thought to buying Red Scorpions and converting my SM's over to a Red Scorpion army. But to repaint a whole army seems like a waste.
I thought of starting a Tyranid army, but I do NOT need another army.
I thought of just focussing on my Chaos army (personal favorite.. that and Necrons) and adding a contingent of Renegades. (alas.. rules become a question).

As you can see... I have been pondering all sorts of different things. The problem is .... I can't decide. Heck.. I have even looked at the Titans... WAYY TOO Expensive!!! $500.00 for a 10.5" tall model..

Hey.. GW.. Do I hear plastic calling???

I come to you humbly and ask for your assistance... Please.. give me you thoughts.. Do I focus on one army and build up Chaos? SHould I convert my other army over?

Personally, I am leaning towards a massive Chaos Army.

Any thoughts would be helpful....

Try a new game for a change of pace, since you're apparently well versed (and well spent) in 40k.

The problem is that I have tried various other games. I have three of the WARMACHINE factions (Khador, Menoth and Mercenaries). I used to play it almost exclusively. Before that I was a rep for Ikore's game VOID. I have all their armies. I started playing 40K because that is what is being played around here. I love painting and converting models and that is why Chaos is appealing to me.

Depends on what you want the big things for.

I'm hopefully getting a Heirophant for Christmas. I simply adore the model, how they managed to take the old idea from Titan Legion and modernize it to fit with the new Tyranid style. I don't play much 40k, let alone any Apocalypse. I simply want to build and paint the model. If I end up playing some Apoc games (I probably will, since my brother and some of my friends do), that's just a bonus.

Think about Daemons. Maybe you already have some of the models since you have chaos...so it's be like starting a 1/2 army. Plus, daemons have unique rules and play style, so it might be fun for you. Heck, if you really aren't feeling one of your armies, then sell it to raise capital for a new start.
