Alrighty, well, local tournie here is coming up and it's a bit unique. Here's the details

- narrative pre-heresy campaign. Marines and marine variant armies ONLY.
-1500 pts, with 250 pt auxilliary force
- 6 games, 2 days

Sooooooo since it's more of a fun narrative type tournament I didn't want to go very hardcore cheesy on this so I went more for balance. Here's wot I gots.

Wolf Lord

The wolf lord and terminators are in the crusader, and the rune priest will be providing cover to the grunts on foot. Now, I'm not opposed to mounting the squads in rhinoes but that would mean dropping to 10 man squads, wolf guard and rune priest included. And when you're looking at 10 man tac swuads vs 10 man tac squads, if I have 1 or 2 extra members that's a huge advantage.

tweaking suggestions?

Oh before anyone asks, the lord is in power armor/belt of russ because it's more badass that way. I'll be modeling him with 2 massive frost axes (although only 1 has to be paid for, as it's not a special weapon).

I'm just going to say....Is that really 1500 points? It doesn't seem like its enough for a Space Wolves list :S

land raider, 20 grey hunters, 7 wolf guard (5 termies), long fangs, and 2 characters. Turns out to 1500 in my books.

Yeah, it is 1500...each TH/SS Termie is 63 points so that gets eaten up fast. Overall, it can be fun. What does the competition look like?

If you have a lot of mech it could be hard only having 2 scoring units but I think you can work it if everyone's taking the firendly approach.

It looks like a pretty fun list, i usually prefer having my troops in rhinos, but like has been said above if everyone is playing fun lists that might not be as much of an issue.

Only other thing is for my money i really don't like Tempest's wrath. I guess if there is an application in your meta that i don't know about, but i would generally prefer living lightning if it is going to sit back with the LF, or else JotWW if he is going to be up with the other troops.
