okay so my friend and I were talking about multiple shot weapons the ogres brace of handguns in particular. Their brace of handguns says multipleshots(x2) and a tyrant with 5 base attacks has it so does that mean he has 10 shots? My friend says he only gets 2 shots but I'm not too sure.

Just two shots. Shooting is, by default, one shot per weapon. The exceptions are those with the multiple shots, where the number afterward indicates the number of shots you can take.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Okay I understand the first part but after that you lost me. Because the brace of handguns works as a pair of pistols but specificly says multipleshots(x2) so that does mean two and not x2 of my base attacks?

Base attacks are only for close combat. ranged attacks, as said, are by default just one shot. Multi shot weapons allow you two take two or more, like the empire repeating pistol allows you to make 4, if the model also has a regular pistol

okay so the pistols that counts as a pair of pistols which are multiple shots (x2) each have two shots = 4shots or is it just simply 2shots? thats all I wanna know

Yes it means that it's twice the amount of shots you'd normally get, which is one.

So x2 is 2 shots, x3 is 3 shots, x4 is 4 shots etc.

The fact you have TWO pistols (a brace) is what is giving you the two shots, as each pistol fires once.

The reason it is "multiple shots x 2" is to allow you to "fire" both weapons, when normally you can only fire one weapon per turn - so you instead are given a combined profile as if it were one weapon firing twice.

It has no relation to your number of Attacks; the Attacks statistic is used ONLY in close combat, not ranged (apart from Wood Elf Bow of Loren, as there is always an exception )

Man This thread is really confusing and it should just be a simple answer, I will attempt my answer.

Generaly speaking any ranged attack is a single shot, unless otherwise specified in the weapon's profile where-in it will indicate the number of attacks, like in this instance where it states 2.
