recently i have been playing a chaos lord on a bike with a demon weapon and mbs, accompanied by 5 bikers and a sorc on a bike with lash(he has 5 bkers too) (ie they move 12 lash and then hopefully charge) could i improve this? if so how? also the bikers are slaanesh with 2 melta and champ with fist (for mc's)

The blissgiver itself? Fantastic. Instant Death with D6 extra attacks? yes please!
The only problem, you can get a winged Daemon Prince for less and Daemon Princes are generally better. Actually, almost all ways better.

In regards to your overall question, Chaos Bikers really, really aren't worth their points. Codex bikers are much, much less and do the same, if not better. I like bikers, but Chaos bikers really struggle to be competitive, at all. Their only real use - and this can be done for less by others - is a daemon-delivery-system.
The configuration you have on your bikes is good (2x melta, 1x powerfist), however this would be better served with the Lord and Sorcerer in either different units or with raptors/wings/jump-packs.

As I said though, ultimately Daemon Princes (with wings) are by far and away the best HQ choice, but both Lords and Sorcerers have their uses, particularly as they can be hidden within a unit. However, Chaos bikers are still a very weak choice and I would recommend Raptors, MoS Chaos Space Marines, Terminators, Possessed or Noise Marines instead. Hope that helps.

Oh and yes, the blissgiver rocks, that's not your problem here if i'm honest...

behind you!

before the space wolves codex I would have said crap, but insta-gibbing thunderwolves at init 6 doesnt exactly suck..... and lash isnt anything like as good as it used to be. hell, go for it. csm need to shake things up.

A thousand different flavors of this.

The blissgiver is great. The chaos lord is rubbish. In the same way that markerlights are great, but pathfinders and their fish are just awkward.

There's just an acre of you fellas, isn't there?

I find the problem with Blissgiver is that you can't put it on a guy who can lash. And two lashers is so much better than one lasher.

Meh, it stays at Str 4 and that's not cool enough IMO.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I have used a chaos lord with blissgiver a lot, and though it makes my opponents somewhat cautious with their characters due to the high initiative instant death, I have found it to be fairly mediocre given that the strength is only 4.

I've experimented with all of the "marked" Daemon weapons cause I thought "well theres 5 of em', 1 of them's gotta be good!". So far the only ones I liked where the Nurgle one (Plaguesword? i forgot the name) and the Khorne one. The Poisoned attacks are a great way to make up for the somewhat middling strength 4, and the Bloodfeeder, well, we all know what the Bloodfeeder does . I havent used the Undivided one, but in my times with the Blissgiver I was always thinking "I could've just gotten Lucius, at least he wont tip and stab himself in the foot at the worst moment..."

Breaking Something Valuable

One of the things I've found, although DP's are ALMOST ALWAYS better, I think that some Lord builds are Okay. If you have him with some raptors with a DW, mark, and wings, that's good and cheap. Another build is with possessed acting as bodyguards, though with mixed results. But yeah, he's okay and cheaper than a prince- but you get what you pay for... If you don't have a prince model, he's a viable option. Oh yeah, and he ends up about at Lucuis' points cost, take for mthat what you wil... tho I'm a fan of him.

Also, on a side note, you should use more capitals in your posts- makes 'em easier to read and the Modquisition won't yell at you.

YOU ALL!

yeah I love Lucius and the whole Emperors Children in general but I feel since he "cant die" his rules should give him something similar to Grimaldus' "only in death does duty end" rule, instead of "ouch you hit me, prepare for more retalitory pokes!! En Guard!"
