So I have almost the required amount of fast attack for my army list, but i don't feel like im playing them in the prop way. I got one assault squad, one bike squad at full capicty, and one land speeder which im currently stuck on deciding what to equip it with. My orignal way of using fast attack was as a distraction, but aginst Nids that's turned out to be some what lacking in the smart planing department. The assault squad and land speeder are new to my troop list so any advice you all can give would be fantastic. [Land speeder advice equipment wise would be even more appreciated]

This should be in tactics.
But since you're here...
Give the speeder X2 heavy flamer and wait until the oportune moment.
Not sure with the assault squad i don't run any so...

EDIT:This was given with 'nids in mind particularly

when using multiple slots on your FOC its best to use 2 of the same unit instead of different multiple units to maximize their abilitiy...id personally go with 2 assualt squads and a unit of maybe 2 speeders.

now with the speeders you usually have best results with a mm/h. flamer combo as you can deal with just about anything from land raiders to ork hordes...as for their deployment its usually best to deep strike them so it increases the chances that they can get to a spot that they are needed successfully. now with your assualt squad...your weapon choices will matter. if you have vulcan for an hq then id go with double flamers to maximize vulcans ability and deal with hordes very well, or plasma pistols if you are dealing with 2+ saves or MC's. but they must take advantage of any cover available just to make sure they stay alive. also the sgt should have a power fist for insurance and to take down tanks as well. you also want to be the one to initiate the charge in an assualt. and since you only have one squad you will need another unit to provide back up for them so they dont get isolated and shot down, usually tacticals in rhinos do fairly well with that task.

but id ask in the tactics section and check out some battle reports, they might have more info that you may be looking for
