So I may have an oppurtunity to purchase the Heroes of the Adeptus Astartes Box Set, but I am not sure how much I should pay. They seller is asking for $150CAD, and it seems a little overpriced. How much would you be willing to pay for it?

If that's all the models you get the it's a bit overpriced most of those models are still in production.
Maybe 80-90 quid, 100 at a strech but not 150.

id cross reference it with the price of the individual models on the GW site...also if you actually have a use for most if not all the models in the box i might go for it. but the way it looks it might be a deal as the models usually run from about 20-30$ each

I don't see it as being valuable except to the most dedicated collector. Those are all regular models and most are still available to buy.

he's asking too much. all of those models are still in production, as another poster pointed out. also because they're heroes from different chapters, often times different codices, how much use are you going to get out of them? I mean what are you going to do with commander dante or logan if you're playing codex marines? I think you should pass.

Not quite all regular models. The Emperor's Champion at the front (second from the right) was the Limited edition model released to celebrate the opening of the 150th GW store, or somesuch thing. Other than in this box, it was only available on that day. It's one of the more common limited editions, but still somewhat rare. ...ish.

For the rest, it's really only worth any great amount if you're looking at leaving it in the shrink wrap as a limited edition. Once you crack it open, you just have a non-hugely rare limited edition model and a whole swag of regular Marine characters.

Logan Grimnar, Dante, and Azrael are all still in production. Marneus Calgar in Artificer Armor, the Emperor's Champion, and the two captains (black templar and Crimson Fist) are not. However just going by the equivallent value of the models, you're still getting ripped off by at least 30 bucks. Dont get it.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
