I was PMing with him last Sat about the IG bits. He suddenly stopped halfway thru the conversation. I'm wondering if something happened to his comp since his list isn't updated, and I havn't gotten a PM about the bits shipping.

I bought some things as well and heard from him on Tuesday November 9th, stating he would send the items out this week. But nothing since. I just assumed he has been busy.


How has everyone else's dealings been going?

If a problem does arise, you could write a Transaction Report to outline the failings or shortcomings of a deal with brush_slip.

Facts from a casual glance at his profile, post, and habits:

He has been a regular contributing member for a good 7 months, especially in the field of painting.

He has attempted to barter/sell before, but no outstanding trade reputation posted here on the forums. He has set much of items very cheaply- more cheaply than I would be comfortable with in terms of a discount (i.e. too good to be true).

His last post before this one was 10/15.

However, it has not been too long of a time since his last PM. I've had experience with people who only post 2-3 days at a time, or had something come up, or place work and life above this website.

My analysis: He does not seem to be a casual scammer. His post for this thread does not show any major deviations from his regular posting style.

Again, I would stress writing a Transaction Report. I would wait a few more days and give him a neutral (not pleading, not threatening PM) PM asking him about the progress on his side of the deal. Info can be found here:

If you did give him money already, I would definately start PMing him in a neutral, polite way daily for a status update. If nothing happens within a week, start looking towards stronger actions.
