I remember hearing somewhere that yphus gives FNP to any squad he is attatched to (reasoning is that he has FNP USR, FNP USR doesnt have the * that shows that it isn't conferred, therefore its conferred)

Can anyone shed some light on this?

The reasoning is based on a faulty premise.

The asterisk doesn't denote whether or not USRs are conferred to units when an IC joins them. It denotes whether USRs are lost when an IC joins the unit. When an IC with FNP joins a unit, it doesn't confer FMP upon the unit. The lack of an asterisk simply means that upon joining a unit that doesn't itself have FNP, the IC doesn't lose it.

thanks for clearing that up, someone at FLGS was trying to get a squad of 'zerkers with FNP by attatching Typhus to them, so I just wanted to make sure.

Wow... what a wet dream that would be...

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

My old bezerker chosen had FNP, with power weapons AND furious charge + daemonic strength.

I ran them for a laugh once. 500 points for 8, 1 wound 3+ save models. However in combat they killed mosts things on 2's....
