Do you have a unit that always works it's way into your army, almost regardless of pts value, simply because you have good luck with it?
Any units that retain their position for pulling off that one, do-or-die moment in a game, with incredible luck?
What about units that bring good luck to the rest of the army, simply using them attracting more sixes?
What about the opposite? Units that attract bad luck?
Whits units are your horseshoes, and which are broken mirrors?
Discuss.
For me, genestealers in general. I have horrendous problems rolling sixes normally, but whenever wounding comes up with these guys, the dam breaks and the sixes flow!
Also, spore mines. A six combined with a perfect scatter means harlequins take damage, as an eldar-playing friend found...

I almost always gimp my opponent's armour with the Paskquisher. You can throw mathammer at me all you want but I almost always get good results out of it.
I take it every time in my mech guard.

The defilier I run in my Thousand Sons army springs to mind as my luckiest unit, I have never failed to kill something with a shot from it's battle cannon even if it misses the intended target it always lands on something squishy. The DP in the same army is also pretty lucky. It's quite enjoyable to watch it munch it's way through Termis and Golden Nipple Marines.
Sadly the rest of the army lets those two down.
Not played enough games with my Black Templars to see if they will throw up any obscenely lucky units.

Lucky units....lets see. My two dreadnoughts who bog down anything in their way. INCLUDING orks. Surviving over 4 turns in combat.
Unlucky are my deathwing, almost everytime being slaughtered, though my assault squad took down 2 soul grinders.

Just a model. A VSS model I have, which always seems to do something incredible no matter its squad's bad luck.
Strangely, when she's a Canoness she's somewhat ineffectual...

Well i don't have any paticular lucky unit so far that has stand out. Well except from my one Nob who really did a thing or two last game.
But i do got a unlucky unit instead! Or units. My Lootas has so far not been able to kill anything. ANYTHING AT ALL!!! Seriusly i don't think i have ever rolled so meany 1's in a game when i use my lootas. I still win the games but... They have not killed anything yet.

An Old Chaos Predator. It has never been Glanced or Pen'd. EVER. It singlehandedly held back a 1000 point army while everything else got killed. Unfortunately the 6th turn rolled around and I lost due to only having a 100 something point predator while my opponent still had 300 points of his stuff left.

Not too spectacular of an event but a unit of tactical space marines in cover happened to survive about 4 turns of fire from most of my tau army. It came down to mopping up his power fist marine with my broadsides in combat. He made a TON of 4+ cover saves =[.

Actually I recall back when my Tau forces were in the "Caked red paint era" I had one Firewarrior I modeled with an oddly tilted head which I named and labeled on his helmet Ed, survive every fight he was in. Take note as he only survived (which my entire army never is able to do) and never really made up his output in points.

I haven't been playing long enough to have a lucky or unlucky unit....But I have a friend who plays Space Marines who has an incredibly unlucky model. He has this scout that no matter who rolls to hit, the dice almost always land on a one. In the very rare (1:random#) cases where the scout actually hits, it rolls a one to wound.
