It says you have to place a webway portal as long as it is in base contact with the model deploying it and is considered impassable. What happens if you move the model to such a way you then can place it on an enemy model? Does it count for being destroyed or is the placement illegal?

One thing is models in impassable terrain are destroyed.

And as per the Portal rules it says that you must place the template touching the base of the bearer of the portal. It also says you cannot deploy the portal from inside a vehicle and is done in the shooting phase in place of shooting.

One other question is is the bearer considered destroyed if he is in base contact with impassable terrain?

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

It wouldn't technically be illegal, as far as I can see... but the rules don't cover what would happen. I would go with not placing it over other models to avoid problems, personally.

Sorry, but there is no such rule.

Models can not generally move into Impassable terrain, but there is no rule that says that a model that finds itself somehow in Impassable terrain is destroyed.

No. See above.

The rule also states to move the models on from their own table edge, hopefully that will be fixed in the errata.

The rule says no such thing, actually. Not the new codex, anyway.

The model is not destroyed, there's no rule that says that.

However, there is a rule that says models may not move through difficult terrain. So if you place a web way portal on a model, it's just...stuck. Can't move for the rest of the game.

(This is a joke! A JOKE!)

...just don't place it on a model. You make the game hurt.

Build a fire for a man and he will be warm for a day; set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain.

Sly Marbo doesn't go to ground, the ground comes to him.

Also, every rule regarding impassable terrain states that it has to be agreed to by both players. Good luck with that one!
