I really am loving the look of this army. Is this army viable? I see Grenadier models but do not see Grenadier models on GW website. What would be a good wish list for getting started with these guys in a 500-1000pt army?

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

On moon miranda.

You can use any of the models for normal IG units, however there is a FW dedicated IG "Siege Regiment" list for free download on their website. It's not as capable as the normal IG codex, but is perfectly capable for competitive play nonetheless.

Also, Grenadiers are the DKoK equivalent of Stormtroopers.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

The army is certainly viable, but you have to know how to play it.

Most "internet players" don't, because they're too stuck with using mechanization.

It's actually a fairly capable assault army, as 10 point power weapons suck on normal Guard, but on WS4 Guard they're suddenly much better.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

All of the Krieg models are purchasable through forgeworld. If you go full Krieg I hope your bank balance can take it! Expect lots of artillery and infantry.

They are really expensive but some of the best looking IG models IMO
That said, Just get a couple of the infantry squads & heavy weapons teams. you wont see much tanks on the 500 bracket so you'd need what.. one or two tank commanders tops. If i was rich i'd certainly do an infantry horde of these buggers!

S'all fun and games until some no life troll master debates all over your space manz & ruins it for you

If I had the money, I would start imperial guard just for them, they're my favorite forge world models.
