Hello,
In a 2250 - 2500 point game how many blocks of core units is preferred. I typically run 3 a 30 man tzeentch and 2 blocks of 20 demmonettes/'letters. Seeing as how the local meta is almost entirely skaven i normally feel outnumbered not just in models but also in unit blocks. Should I drop my block of 4 crushers or the greater daemon to increase the number of basic unit blocks.

3 30 man horrors seems too many - you're never going to use all their spell casting in 8th.
40 bloodletters in either horde or 7 wide formation will last a while. You need a couple of fighty blocks and enough fast stuff to get flanks etc.

Thanks for the input,
Sorry if i wasn't clear but i meant i only run 3 blocks, one of which is a single block of 30 horrors. In total there are only 4 blocks in my list. Of those 4, three of them are core choices and the last is a block of crushers. I'm pretty sure i have too many points tied up in my Greater Daemon.

I have been running a block of 31 horrors, 25 letters, 20 daemonetts at 2K. 6 Flamers 2 fiends and almost 500 points of heros and no lord, and loving it.

That sounds like what I'm looking for but why 31 horrors? Is it because you have the changling in there? Do you find the fiends sufficient for warmachine hunting? I wonder how they would fare against a doomwheel or abomination.

I had 12 extra points. I do have the changeling, that's what I would swap stats of the abomination for and beat it with it's own stats.
Fiends work great, last game got one spear chucka, one doom diva, and ended in the back of a block of 60 gobbos with letters on the front of the block.
