Gotta start off by saying that I'm not a top notch painter or
GS guy by any means. Mostly I love the assembly process....painting is actually a bit tedious to me, but I accept it as part of the art. Most of the mini's are 1/3-1/2 painted.
Unmodified
DP model. This is a fantastic model for trying new techniques as the proportions are very very similar to marines. The hand, tail, and axe are my first attempts at applying colored "glaze" for blending. I like it, but unless you have an eye dropper it wastes ALOT of paint.
Chosen and actual scale
CSM.
Squad of normal ol'
CSM's.
Magnetized Chaos Terminator Lord.
Magnetized Chaos Terminator and Terminator Lord with all options shown.
Daemonettes that my ex got me.
My first attempt at painting after a 5 year haiatus. I love the modified 2nd edition marine even though its a crappy ol' model.
Chaos Spawn
My conversion Defiler/Soulgrinder. REALLY rough joins, not the best work by far...but its really big and really spikey. Stands twice again as tall as a Dread...looks dope on a table at least. Fun to paint so far too.
WIP Chaos Sorceror. First attempt at what I consider to be fairly hardcore conversion. Arms, head, and back are magnetized. Still in the process of building the model, its diorama 60mm base, and all the various options for
WYSIWYG in addition to things I invent from the depths of my twisted imagination.
Actual Scale
CSM. In hindsight I should have carved a recess in the nid guy instead of cutting off the hand. Looks really bad, but live and learn I say.
