Dakka, I wish to make you a question. As mentioned in the title, I got me one of these:
Does it look good enough as it is? There's something bothering me about that shotgun.
I've been thinking of reposing him but I've got no experience in such things. Should be a simple matter of cutting away his shotgun arm and putting it in a more natural position. Then again, I've never worked on metal and i have no idea if simply moving the arm down will make it look good.

On mine I carefully bent the shotgun arm down and forwards so that it would be more parallel with the ground, anything to make him look less like roadkill. Then I sold him for $5.00.
It's still a dreadful model of course. Skin tight pants and a bizarre warping of an M79 GL for a shotgun. But any bit of re-posing helps.

Strangely that's for how much mine went :p Might I ask how you managed to bend it? just slightly using your hand or did you heat it up or something?

Careful bending with pliers will often do the trick.
You WILL want to use shields (thick foil) around it to stop the teeth on the pliers marking up the metal though.
Depending upon how old it is, though, bending by hand should also be possible. Many 2nd ed models still contained lead in the alloy.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

I know someone who actually liked the model minus the shotgun. They chopped his hand off and put something else there.. I believe it was a knife hand. It looked pretty good with a show-quality paint job on it. Then again, the new model is much better in my opinion.

My mode is that I'm meaner than the average. |

Fingers. Pliers give you so much of a mechanical advantage that you can quickly and easily over-bend something like an arm. And if you over do it it will probably twist, crack and/or snap off.
